COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Starr Hill’s Jomo Lager is a smooth, multiple-award-winning Light Amber Lager. Fermented with Southern German Lager yeast, its crisp, clean taste, and noticeable hop aroma are effectively balanced with a slight malty sweetness. This is a crossover beer that appeals to the broadest spectrum of brew aficionados.

I liked this beer. Pours a light golden colour with a small off white head. it was a little complex in the mouth, yet very smooth, and nice biscuit malt flavors. Aroma is pleasent, of honey roasted peanuts.

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice clear sparkling copper with a nice lasting white head and good lace. Aroma is lightly sweet caramel and crackery malts, lightly toasted bwheat bread, and some earthy and slightly peppery hops. Flavor is clean, nice toasted malts, biscuity, light caramel flavor, nice crisp bitterness, a bit herbal and slight grass. Crisp and nice finish- good vienna/mexican amber lager.

12oz bottle pours filtered tawny brown. Nose of apple juice malt, faint bread crust, some toast and light spices. Flavor is much the same, overall very plain and simple but at the very least it lacks any glaring defects, so it’s drinkable without being memorable. Clean, malty, a little red apple and toast in the finish, but quite simple. Simple can be good, simple can be downright delicious, but in this case simple is just simple.

12oz. Everything about this lager is sweet, sweet, sweet. Aroma is sweet, body is sweet corn. Fairly medium bodied for a vienna (of the ones I’ve had.) Nothing to get too excited about.

Had this on tap at my local. Not much going on here, light flavor, not much malt, not much hops, didn’t taste fully lagered. The backbone was sweeter than it should be given the paucity of flavors - honestly I prefer Negra Modelo for a Vienna.

Pours a bright amber-orange with a think white long lasting head. Aroma is very light, grainy malt. Toasted malt flavor. Sharp hop bitterness. Very carbonated. Easy to drink.

Had this one at Bonnaroo. Finally getting around to rating it. Medium-bodied. Smooth but not a whole lot of flavors. Lightly malty, bitter finish. Not terrible, but nothing I’d try again.

Little disappointed. The head was nice. Hints of caramel, but that’s about it. Very little hoppiness, too much carbonation. Aftertaste is somewhat bitter and filmy. Could have just been a bad batch.
