Good malt taste. Smooth like I would expect in an Amber lager. Great brew overall.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Golden amber color with a fair amount of head. Malty aroma with a slight hint of spicy hops. A little biscuitiness in the flavor and slight malty sweetnes. Otherwise it is a pretty clean. Nice dry crisp finish with just enough bitterness to balance it out. Not a bad lager.

light coppery bronze hue. fizzy. white to off-white head. decent maltiness, but not much complexity. then again, it’s not exactly going for complexity, either. some nice, crispy bready/cracker taste with enough hops to balance but not much more. way more presence here than any of the typical lagers out there, but not the depth of character of some of the better micros or imports.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Looks like beer. Aroma is light with a little grass and hops. Light to medium bodied with a bit of malt, grass and hops. Not offensive, but not much there.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Purchased on my trip to Nashville. Pours a hazy golden-orange colour with a creamy head that has great retention and sticky lacing. The nose is mild with malts and grains. Nice spicy hop in the taste and the malt leads into the aftertaste. A nice in-between macros and micros, getting that German malt and a bit hoppier than most swill lagers.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Old BA rate - bottle)
Poured with a fairly generous finger of creamy white head; pretty solid retention and some lacing; lightly hazy light orange-rust color. Lightly malty; nutty; bit of yeastiness. Maltiness shows up first; a little earthy; pretty clean and basic. Mediumish MF; a little carbonation sneaks in but would have expected some more interesting feel to it; just kinda slid by without much notice. Pretty good as it tasted solid and was refreshing enough. Overall, not a bad brew at all and I could see this as a macro-drinking friend converter

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is very buttery, flavor is dry and a bit like paper. there are noticeable hops, more so in the palate than the flavor. It’s dry, slightly caramelly but more on the pale malt side, and the bitterness is very English. Bottle from Whole Foods, Nashville.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear amber color with medium fizzy offwhite head. Aroma is sweet caramel grass with slight lemonzest. Flavor is light, hay lemon with a dryer grassy finish. Overall very smooth and refreshing but nothing special.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle from the Flying Saucer in Nashville; there were a few other brews I’d rather have tried, but this crosses Virginia off my map. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, cereal, fruity notes. Flavor follows suit, with nuts, caramel malts, some fruits, and cardboard. Just a bit of hops detectable. Light-medium bodied, with a dry and quick finish. Moderate carbonation. Easily sessionable beer, and sure beats a macro lager for a night of binge drinking with friends.
