3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 22, 2010
Experienced on tap in a large hexagonal pub glass. The beer pours a medium amber color, with a very mild off-white head that quickly becomes only a memory. The nose shows a character that makes the beer seem more like an east coast Amber Ale than a Vienna lager; although I suppose there isn’t a world of difference between the two styles. Fairly subtle notes of medium to medium-high crystal malt. The palate does indeed carry the malt-forward character of a Vienna lager. German malt notes greet the palate, followed by a mild bitterness, and a clean slightly malty finish. Overall, the beer is not poorly made, but lacks any really differentiating character. Average.

Draft. Pours a light amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma and flavor are light sweet malt and mildly floral hops with a touch of sourness. Somewhat creamy palate.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 TheBeerGod (4630) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - MAR 4, 2010
Bottle. Soft amber with a tall, fizzy white head. Aroma is toasted malts, grassy hops, straw, and grains. Taste is toasted malt, light lemon, yeast notes, grassy hops, straw and biscuit. Body is light-medium with a moderate, fizzy carbonation. Ends with more toasted malt, sweet malt, hint of caramel, grassy hops, and straw. Not too bad.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 drowland (4975) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - FEB 20, 2010
On tap (2010) in a lager glass. The pour is pale brown with a 2-finger white head. The aroma is all corn taco shells and the flavor is similar but with plenty of buttery diacetyl. The dry hop presence comes out in the exhale.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 chicowv (446) - Canaan Valley, West Virginia, USA - FEB 20, 2010
Pours a beautiful light amber but is slightly cloudy. Little aroma and flavor, but fairly good for the style. Easy to drink, smooth, distinct.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 curly (2394) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - FEB 2, 2010
Pours slightly hazy orange with a sudsy white head. Aroma is a little tart, reminding me of unripe fruit or berries, along with caramel and hay. Taste is grassy with a slightly earthy bitterness. Medium light body with lively carbonation. Overall just a little off.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Elwood (2490) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: Light amber color with a slight off-white head. Okay head retention and spotty lacing left behind. It has a light nose that is a mix of malt and hops. Some light cracker notes from the malt side and a bit of grassiness from the hop side. The flavors are light and clean with notes of toasted malt, a bit of bread, and some grassiness from the hops. The finish is relatively long and bitter. I agree with the description that this is a good transition beer. Not too overpowering but still flavorful and very sessionable.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 radioseer (296) - Virginia, USA - JAN 27, 2010
(12 ounce bottle - pint glass) Pours a cloudy yellowish brown color with decent head. Has a weird dead wet grass aroma that I could not get past. Taste is moderatly hopped and balanced with a malty sweetness. Grassy and citrusy hops are used. Medium body and pleasant finish.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 wcampbell (721) - Clemson, South Carolina, USA - JAN 15, 2010
Typical pale lager, with some hoppy crispness. Lightly sweet, with some grassy pilsener flavor. Not much going on, mostly watery.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 KajII (705) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - JAN 1, 2010
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2011 Bottle. Poured a murky orange in color with a small white fizzy head that was fully diminishing and had poor lacing. The aroma was of sweet malts with a light citrus hop scent. It tasted bitter and rather malty at first and finished with a nice biter-sweet hoppy flavor that stuck around on the taste buds for and average amount of time. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body with and creamy yet dry texture with a soft carbonation. Overall a great lager with a nice mix of maltiness and bitterness.
