3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours black with a 2 finger ran head. Nose is overwhelmingly coffee grinds. Taste is similar but finishes with some milky sweetness and a touch of pepper. Mouthfeel is a little thin but sufficient carb. Has potential but the coffee is just overwhelming.

Bottle to shaker glass, pours deep red/black. Two finger billowy tan head. Not much lacing or retention. Aroma of coffee beans. Taste is sweet, no real bitterness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, silky mouth feel. Finishes sweet. Tasting notes of dark chocolate, coffee, dark roasted malt, vanilla and lactose. Not bad!

Black, with a thick white head. Smells like coffee, milk chocolate, and some burnt toast. Taste is coffee, then some raisin or prune. I got some milk chocolate and some mild woody hops in the finish.

12 oz bottle from Samís. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is heavy on coffee, a bit of chocolate and slightly sweet as well. Tastes is similar with the coffee flavor dominating. Some lactose in there providing the sweet touch on the end. A bit of chocolate too. Nice creamy body. Overall a very solid stout that lies between a coffee stout and a milk stout. My bottle says 6%, not 5.4% like the deScription suggests.

Pours jet black with a minimal head. Aroma of coffee and cocoa. Taste is sweet dark and heavy with roasted coffee. The finish is dry with earthy hop notes. Interesting that the hops come out in a stout.
