Nice enough IPA. A little sudsy upfront. Enough hops to keep you interested, but not too much so you start complaining. Good, dry, crispy finish.

Appearance: clear amber color is pretty standard. head is ok with a lot of lacing. Aroma: strong metallic aroma with hints of malt Taste: medium bitterness Palate: medium body is a bit creamy, the finish is long and bitter, it lasts. Overall: even though I love IPAs, this one does not stand up to the test for my liking. I donít like the metallic, kind of skunkiness aroma.

12oz bottle via trade thanks to ben4321. My first VA beer, which is crazy considering Iíve rated over 1700 and lived in VA for 8 years. Pours clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is floral and citrusy hops, sweet malt, and something that strikes me as a little strange, maybe wet dog. Flavor is a little better: Munich malt, citrusy hops, and a little spice. Well-balanced. Nice palate, with lots of hop bitterness and good crispness with medium body. A good IPA overall, if not quite as assertive as Iíd like.

Nutty aroma. Thick malt and toffee flavor. Mineral malty flavor. Soda mouthfeel. Very bitter finish. Salt and hops on the finish

Hazy amber appearance with a large, eggshell white head and good lacing. Typical cascade hop aroma of citrus, along with some resin, which carries over to the taste. Malts in the background offer a touch of sweetness, but bitterness rules the flavor. Dry, medium-bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish.

Bottle. Pours clear orange yellow, thick off white head. Aroma is hops, peat, caramel. Not a good start, since I dislike peat intensely. Flavor is hoppy bitter, somewhat peaty and malty. The peat/wet dog/bog flavor is not as bad as I expected from the aroma, so I can drink this beer alright. I would not buy it again though.

Draft. Pours a bright golden yellow with a medium white head. Aroma and flavor are very hoppy. Lots of floral and citrus notes, particularly grapefruit. Some bitter pineyness in the finish. Not much malt. A nice beer, but rather one note.

Serving: Draft at Tap House in Charlottesville. It pours a light amber gold with a small, foamy, off-white head. The nose is very hop forward with notes of florals, grapefruit, and a slight graininess. The taste reminds me of something that was dry hopped with the hops definitely taking center stage. Herbal, floral, and citric notes are all present, but not much from the malt side. Medium bodied with medium carbonation and a long, hoppy finish. Overall there wasnít much to make this brew stand out, but it is still decent and sessionable.

On draft at OTH. Pours clear gold with soapy white head. Nose is slight caramel, grapefruit, pine, and bitterness. Flavor is similar with some sweetness added to the bitterness. Medium body and so-so overall.
