Bottle back from VA over christmas. Floral aroma with a little bubble gum action is pretty interesting and nice. The flavor is vastly different though on the hop spectrum as it leaves a bit of a fusel alcohol and band aid kind of flavor on the finish. Mid palate though is some nice caramel malt. There are some grassy hops working mid palate as well which is tasty. Other than that all too bitter finish, everything else is working well.

( 12oz bottle thanks to cavie) Pours clear medium yellow with some bubbles. Nose of chlorine, and citrus rinds. Taste of citrus oils (bitter) with a creamy and oily finish. Nice and drinkable.

(sample) Pours a clear golden color with decent size head. Aroma is of floral, herbal and grapefruit citrus hops. It is also balanced with a caramel malt and a small notes of wheat malt. Tastes is of hops and caramel malt. Finish is long and bitter, average carbonation.

The aroma is very hoppy with pine, citrus, and herbs with some caramel malt to balance. The appearance is amber gold with quite a large head for the style. The flavor is like the aroma with a definite bite at he end. The palate is right for the style. Overall a well made IPA, maybe just a bit too astringent.

Bottle thanks to Cavie. The look is clear, golden in color, with an off white head. The smell is hops, floral, fruits, and ok. The taste is the caramel, hops, fruits, some bitterness.

Draft at County Grill. Rosy amber with a nice sudsy head. Citric aroma. Nice tacky mouthfeel and a full-on warmingly woodsy flavor. Delish! (#3769, 12/13/2009).

Honeycomb and orange peel nose. Cloudy orange, medium yellow head, good lacing. Grapefruit flavor predominates, with a more bitter grapefruit peel and orange peel in the finish. Well blended celery notes appear as the glass warms. Well hopped with citrusy hops. Tastefully maltier when warm. Great IPA, not heavy, and quite bitter.

glennmastrange (2279) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - DEC 1, 2009
Bottle. Malt aromas are of moderate grain, roasted and bread, pine for the hops and light soap for the yeast. Head is thin, wispy, slightly off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy orange/tan. Flavor starts moderately acidic and lightly bitter, then the long finish is heavily bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a dry finish. Simple, lacking any sweetness and a bit out of balance, but still fairly IPA-ish.
