3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I heard a rumor about this beer. I heard it was either trying to base itself on the old "New River Pale Ale" that was discontinued a few years back (sadly). Whether or not it’s true, I know that for me, this one beer is at least a good replacement, always awaiting the return of the real deal. Aroma is hops, citrus, florals. Flavor is crisp, clean bitter, hoppy, touch of malts. Very nice!

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: 12 oz bottle was given to me by a friend, 5/1/09
Aroma: Real nice, powerful nose, fresh/crisp citrus hops, pine
Appearance: Cloudy orange/red color, thin off-white head that dissipates quickly
Flavor: Crisp hoppy flavor, with a nice amount of bitterness
Palate: Good mouthfeel, medium body
This is a pretty darn solid IPA, I enjoyed it. Had an especially great nose that made me really want to drink, flavor wasn’t as great as the aroma, but it was a very nice beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium dark orange color with a dry hop haze under an lightly off-white head that lasts and lasts.
Fresh citrus hop aroma.
Good clean hop flavor and a malt/hop balance that is definitely on the bitter side.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Traded bottle. Slightly above average IPA. A little thin on the flavour except for the bitterness. Very simple but good overall.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Green Leafe Newtown. Pours turbid dark straw with off-white head. Nose is resiny hoppy, fruity, malty, with some spice. Tastes smooth, rich, complex, very hoppy with well balanced malt and late tropical fruit and spicy notes. This one was very good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Points for twist-off. Pours an off-white head that barely laces with a clover honey colored body. Smells of pine and apricot. Flavor is citrus hops and honey. Finish is bitter with some honey. The malt comes out the warmer it gets.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice IPA. This is a well rounded beer with a pleasant flowery aroma, a cloudy appearance with a thin head. The flavor is nice and hoppy but remains a good session beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy orange, thin white head. Citrusy, peppery aroma. Nice clan palate. Flavor is hop-dominated, mostly grapefruit and a few herbal notes. Maybe a little smoky note in the finish.

Not much going on here. Aromas are subdued. Not much in the way of flavor. Bitter finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
So the site says 6.7% ABV, the description says 7.2% ABV, and the bottles says 5.8% ABV. Clear amber beer with a thin white head. A strong pine presence in the nose with a faint hint of citrus. Flavor is very piney as well but the body is a little thin, making this beer seem harsh. Citrus at the finish. Touch of caramel.
