The one sampling they were out of at the brewery, but I got a bottle to sample locally. Mine, like some others have noted, claims a 5.8% ABV. Pours deep amber into the glass, with a nice frothy off-white head that reduces to a thin cap, leaving soapy lace. The nose on this one has lots of citrus and peel/zest, along with a nice floral hop. A hop-concentrated brew, with offerings of oranges, grapefruit and some caramel and cantaloupe intermingling. A palate-cleansing hop bite suffices the finish, lingering appropriately for the round mouthfeel. Has good substance, but goes down well on a summer night, without being too heavy. Good IPA, and one that I wish hadnít been tapped out on draught. Tasty and enjoyable.

Bottle, labeled 5.8% abv. Pours a hazy orange with a very well formed head. The aroma is certainly hoppy with lots of emphasis on melon and orange. Iím guessing Amarillo here. The palate is medium and goes well with the semi-bitter flavor. Soft citrus is all over with a funky finish that brings to mind a Belgian golden ale, just without the pronounced esters. Iím surprised to see that Cascade is the only hop variety listed here. I didnít get an abundance of the typical Cascade delivery, though some of that was certainly here. This one is more about the mellower melon/orange flavors. I enjoyed it.

Pours a soft peachy amber with a one finger creamy offwhite head. The nose is soapy, some fruit, citrus rind, mild peanut shell. The flavor is waxy with some subdued bitternss, mild citrusy character, peanut shell, mildly sweet. Decent for an IPA.

On draft at Asheville Civic Center. Poured amber with little head. Sweet caramel flavor, almost EPA like. A mildly bitter finish. Forgettable.

12 oz bottle. Pours brass with sticky off-white head. The aroma is grapefruity hops with some bready malt, tangerine, and honeydew. The flavor is fruity hops, with lots of grapefruit and a little bit of apricot. There is a little bit of doughy malt and honey sweetness, plenty to balance the hops. Thereís a sticky herbal quality to the finish that I find rather interesting. This ends up being a tasty beer.

Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Piney citrus aroma with caramel. Taste is more bitter pine hop than sweet hop but has enough malt to balance well. Very well balanced and could have even more hops, I think.

Dark amber orange with a thick lasting white head. Nice floral and citrus hop aroma, some toasty caramel. Taste is roughtly the same a bit of pine bitterness lingers but the caramel body supports the herbal floral hops.
