This is exactly what an IPA should be. Lighter and easy on the palate with a big hit of hoppy bitterness up front. Great one.

A copper-orange color with a foamy head and lacing. The aroma is slightly faint, with some pine and grass and a bit of honey and malt. The flavor has great hop spiciness and some grass up front, along with a malty backbone and semisweet aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Originally reviewed: 8/14/09. I was excited to find this in my local grocery. Poured into my pint glass a very deep copper amber with a frothy off-white head on top. Retention is fair, and there’s some nice lacing rings after each sip. Smells of funk, yeast, and caramelly malts. No hops in the nose at all. The mouth is creamy and smooth, with little crispness. The flavor is a little different as well. Some tart yeasty presence and sweet malts. There’s a nice bitter finish, but it’s spicy rather than citrusy. This reminds me more of a Belgian IPA, rather than American. This was alright, but I was disappointed overall. I’ve really liked the rest of their offerings, but this fell short.

20 oz pour at the Skyland Resort, Shenandoah National Park. Was great to see some microbrews on the menu here! Pours a nice orange with a thin white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy with citrus aromas dominating. Taste was hoppy but with some malt balance. Very nice IPA from a usually disappointing brewery. Might have been the atmosphere and extreme weather outside the window, but I enjoyed this quite a bit. Might need to try it again...

On tap @ Specific Gravity, Salisbury Md-Copper/Orange pour w/a medium white head. Hop aroma. Citrus hop, pine tar, kind of a standard IPA. Decent brew, don’t know I would seek it out.

Draft. Clear. Copper color. Full tan head. Very little aroma. For an IPA it's not very bitter nor aromatic. Not worth buying in the future. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium orange amber with an average sized (1-2 finger) off white frothy head that lasted throughout and had some excellent sheets of sticky lacing. The aroma was of floral and pine hops, a straw malt and a soapy yeast with notes of caramel, honey, and citrus (grapefruit and orange). The taste was a bit sweet and acidic with a decent note of caramel from the onset then progressed with a nice bitter hoppy flavor that possessed a hint of citrus and a drop of honey towards the end. The flavor lasted a ridiculously long time, which was great for it allowed one to enjoy the nice bold hoppy finish. Mouthfeel was about half way between light and medium in body with a nice distinct dry texture and a good lively carbonation. Overall a brew with a mild sweetness and a kickin’ hoppiness that are blended extremely well making this a very enjoyable beer...

Draft. Pours hazy copper with frothy off-white head; good retention and some lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops, sweet malt, and some earthy notes. Flavor is light caramel malt up front then quickly dominated by floral and citrus hops; bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.
