12 oz. bottle into a standard pint. pkg. on 03/09/15 A: A gentle and very cold pour. Very little head of beige color. SLightly dingy orange body with a little visible carbonation. S: Floral/earthy hop scent. Willamette coming to the forefront. Odd for an IPA but what do I know? I do love this hop and I like the smell of the beer.Maybe a little toasted grain to go along. Slight alcohol detected. T: Piney hops greet the tongue first. A slight citrus pith note on the resinous finish. The earthy essence from the nose is present but faint. This is a little different but not in a bad way. Not much malt sweetness to mention. Tastes a bit like a favorite of mine : Highland Gaelic amber ale but needs more malt. M: Medium light body with light but ample carbonation. Average. O: This IPA has a distintive smell thanks I suppose to the Willamette hops. Doesn’t quite translate to a great taste but the taste is novel and agreeable. I do like the relatively low ABV (6.5) for an IPA. This six pack is 3 months old and who know how it has been treated so it probably deserves another try. Not bad but not a favorite either.

Amber pour. The nose is light and fairly sweet. Has some sweet maltiness and a little bit of bitterness. Lightly peppery and a little bit sweet. Pretty typical.

12 oz bottle dated best by Nov. 2011 served in a pint glass. (from notes). Light orange/amber; hazy with a generous off-white head that looks both sudsy and creamy. Lots of irregular sticky lacing. Aroma is mainly hoppy citrus with some malt, grass and pine underneath. Somewhat herbal. Alcohols esters appear upon warming. T - The taste features a citrus-tinged but mainly bitter hop bite. Plenty of white grapefruit bitterness in the lasting finish ... more than warranted by the mid-taste hop level. M: medium body; very good carbonation level. O - bolder than average, but lacking the balance and complexity of a world-class IPA.

Clear amber appearance. A nice texture that’s easy to drink. Very little scent but a little sweet. Some lemon, citrus hops but also caramel, roasted malts. Good.
