3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle… Clear amber ale with a small, frothy, white head. Good retention. The biscuity, earthy aroma offers additional mild notes of honey and pine. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. The flavor leans way onto the bitter side of balance, even as the beer approaches room temperature. Good toffee and biscuit malts serve as an ample backbone, but can’t restrain the biting, earthy, spicy hops. Lengthy, bitter, and then dry finish.
