Brown-orange with decent head and lacing. Nice cascade aroma. Nicely done hop profile...aggressive while staying balanced. Good mouthfeel and clean finish. Not my favorite but a good alternative.

12 oz bottle dated best by Nov. 2011 served in a pint glass. (from notes). Light orange/amber; hazy with a generous off-white head that looks both sudsy and creamy. Lots of irregular sticky lacing. Aroma is mainly hoppy citrus with some malt, grass and pine underneath. Somewhat herbal. Alcohols esters appear upon warming. T - The taste features a citrus-tinged but mainly bitter hop bite. Plenty of white grapefruit bitterness in the lasting finish ... more than warranted by the mid-taste hop level. M: medium body; very good carbonation level. O - bolder than average, but lacking the balance and complexity of a world-class IPA.

Decent IPA from a Virginia brewery. Nothing spectacular, pretty average. Had a few while in the DC area.

Clear amber appearance. A nice texture thatís easy to drink. Very little scent but a little sweet. Some lemon, citrus hops but also caramel, roasted malts. Good.

Good color with a nice head. The taste is subtle and the after taste is slightly hoppy. Overall good but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance is clear yellow orange, medium white head. Aroma is faint. fruit (berry), wood, resin. Taste is.... ashy, pasty, not pleasant. Lively carbonation, but no amount of bubbles makes up for the retched taste. Not a fan.

Bottle 12 fl.oz. Clear medium amber, big foamy off-white head, recedes slowly to a foamy layer, good lacing; strong and fresh citrus aroma, orange peel, grapefruit, some caramel, floral hops; taste light sweet and medium bitter, citrusy; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, mild dry bitter aftertaste, bit spicy, fruity notes; overall a nice mild bitter IPA.

12 oz bottle. It pours a golden amber color with a small white, quickly vanishing head. I think I detect a very faint tropical fruit aroma. I taste some tropical fruit, pine and citrus flavors from the hops along with a slight hop bitterness. This is a nice enough beer but itís nothing special. I probably wouldnít but this one again.

Floral citrusy hops on the aroma. Really fresh smelling. Itís really hop forward which a plus for me. Lots of pleasant hop bitterness with a dry finish. I like it a lot. This is the first Starr HIll beer Iíve had and it was really good.

Pours a clear gold color with decent lacing and fair head retention. Tastes slightly bitter and malty, but nothing really stands out here. Pretty non- descript.

Pretty disappointing ipa. Not much hop aroma or taste. A nice malty pale ale but not an ipa other than maybe abv. Average pass. Nice fading head.
