argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Jul 18, 2003 Clear golden body with medium off-white head. Aroma is invitingly hoppy -- floral, slightly earthy and grapefruit. Taste is floral up top with slight caramel, but as it works its way through the mouth an earthiness comes out. Medium body, good chewiness. Nice beer. CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jun 10, 2008 Pours a transparent bronze with a spotty-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty pale malts and fairly fresh grassy piny hops. Body starts fairly full and pale malty sweet with some mild bittering and flavor hops before a drier bittersweet finish. A pretty smooth and drinkable pale ale. hopdog (4657), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 16, 2008 12oz bottle acquire in trade with dkachur
(thanks!). Poured a deeper and clear golden color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, grainy, and some floral hops. Tastes of citrus, floral hops, toasted grains, and and light caramel. There was ’something’ about this one that I didn’t care for. hopscotch (4595), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Dec 3, 2006 Updated: Aug 20, 2007Rating #3100... Bottle... Clear light golden ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Good retention. The nose is all black tea and grapefruit. Flavor leans on the bitter side of balance. Pink grapefruit and metal. Tannic. Light to medium-bodied and astringent with moderate carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet and medium bitter. Thanks to growler for bringing this bottle back from his trip to Massachusetts.
