COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A medium-bodied German Style smoke beer. The flavor is malty with a slight sweetness that gives way to an aroma of smoke, bacon, and campfire. The beer is fermented at cold temperatures with a Bavarian Lager yeast to round out the pungent flavor.

Sampled at Big Brew Beer Festival (Morristown). Poured a hazy orange color with a foamy white head. Aroma of citrus and big smokey notes. Same with the taste. Lots of smoked wood, grapefruit, and citrus. Interesting

Poured into tasting glass. Amber with white head. Aroma is smoked pork. Taste is smoke, grass, hay. Lighter in smoke than the Germans but just as good paired with meat or smoked cheese. Finish is a lingering smokehouse or campfire.

Akward, weird tasting beer. Golden pale color. Smooth, white head. Campfire taste, comes as a strong after taste. Wasn’t a fan of this lager.

Appearance: clear light amber with a near white foamy head and minimal lacing. Aroma: smoke (of course), grass, crackers, caramel, cereal. Taste: smoky meat (bacon!) and honey granola, with golden grahams, grass, hay, and some light spice (almost like some rye in the malt bill?) crisp, with a lingering smoky, nutty malt. Finish: Really nice smoke beer. Base seems to be in the lager variety, marzen specifically, all for the better. Excellent effort.

$8.79 bomber from Wine Warehouse, CHO. Pours golden with three inches of white head. Smells like lightly smoked pork and grass. Tastes the same: smoked pork, wheat. Yum.

Tap pour - @ RHP. Pours clear gold orange with medium fluffy white head. Big notes of campfire, bacon, and some oranges. Nice creamy mouthful. Tastes of hopped oranges, nice malt bill, touch of citrus hops at the finish. Nice medium bodied and creamy. Really pretty good.

22 ounce bottle. Amber orange color. Small beige head. Rich toasted malt aroma with lot’s of smokiness. Huge smoky toasted malt flavor dominates the first sip. There is a nuttiness and complex sweet caramel malt character in the mid taste. Finish is light spicy hops. Very nicely balanced and right up there with the traditional rauchbiers of Bamburg. Outstanding.
