12 ounce bottle. Dark brown color topped by a small creamy tan head. Light roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt flavor has a noticeable burnt caramel character. Obvious notes of dark fruit and earthy minerals. Overall, an average tasting doppelbock with slight complexity.

Dark brown with a thin head. The aroma is caramel and bread, lots of grains. The flavor is like oat meal with brown sugar. Nice finish, dry and toasty.

12 oz bottle from Food Lion The Doppelbock poured a deep brown to dark amber with a white head that dissipated with no lacing. The aroma was of sweet caramel malt and toffee. This is great addition to the Starr Hill products. A well balanced beer that goes great with football. The medium body beer had average to soft carbonation. The finish was smooth with toffee and caramel malts.
