COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Starr Pils is a classic German Pilsner. This beer is crafted with Pilsner malt, German hops and Bavarian lager yeast. It is golden in color with a subtle malt backbone and noticeable hop aroma.

Drought at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Rich yellow with white foamy head, honey aroma, sweetish taste with a bitter end, not a remarkable product.

Aroma - smells very unpleasant almost like soap. Appearance - is clean golden yellow, with a big head that crashes hard and ends. Nice lacing. Taste - taste is bitter and kind of off, sort of ... like clay. Feel - is abrupt, and what you do taste is unpleasant. Grassy and assy. Nothing else worth mentioning. --- JPS

It wasn’t awful. It was bright yellow with little head. There was a slight bananas and grain character to the aroma, like a hefeweizen might have. A little malt in the flavor, slight bitter twist in the finish of the sip. A bit medicinal, though. It wasn’t awful, but I didn’t really enjoy it.

Remarkably clear. Thin bubbly head. Crisp mouth feel. German malts and hops are evident. Good representation of the style.

Appearance: Light golden, clear. Some off-white head. Aroma: Light hops and malt, slight fruit. Taste: Nice hops, not overpowering, also good amount of light malt in there. Fruit. Good balance. Info: Draught, 21/8-2013

On tap at Irish Times in DC. Yes, Irish Times. Grassy nose, straw, lemon, cracker. Decent nose. Flavor is crisp, grassy, light metal, heavy lemon. Crisp finish. Pretty good.

Tap @ The Local, C’ville. The pour’s pale gold with a small head. Fairly faint aroma. Mildly sweet corn notes. Some honey. Little else. The taste is pale malt. General bucolic hop flavors. Sweet golden syrup. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, fine.

light aroma of grass and hops. Smooth taste of light malt and some honey. It’s a pilsner.

12oz bottle of meh. Poured an unimpressive watery ugly piss yellow with an average to smaller foamy white head. Aroma of green grapes, sweet malts, and paste. Flavor is blah, flat with notes of dry stale bread and some sweetness. This sucked.

Poured this beer from a regular bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a straw-lemon/yellow hazy color with a big, foamy, bright white head that had good retention, but no cling and little lacing. Its aroma featured a blend of straw and grain, with some lighter lemon, grapefruit, and citrus notes, and a very light character of caramel and yeast. The taste was a crisp, lightly zesty lemon-fruit blend, with light wheat and yeast characteristics, and a slightly bitter-sour finish. It had a medium thick body with a modest-to-average level of carbonation, and was a touch on the dry side.
