Look of clear straw yellow pour with a ring of white head, sweet light noble hop and some corn.

Transfer from BA review on 7-7-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a straw color with a two finger white head. The head fades rather fast to give a good amount of lacing. Smell – The smell is mainly of malt with a hop base largely of citrus lemon and a light grapefruit. Mixed with this is some light aroma as pine as well. Taste – The flavor starts out on the bready side. It is soon meet with a lighter citrus hop flavor. These hop flavors mix with a light earthy hop flavor which seems to mix with the citrus and leave a lightly bitter-crisper flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – Very average in terms of carbonation (medium level) with a very average level of carbonation. Good for the style. Overall - Easy drinking with a good crisp flavor and a nice clean taste.

DATE REVIEWED: July 6, 2014... GLASSWARE: Paulaner pokal... OCCASION: 4th of July yardwork and party unwinding... APPEARANCE: pale, tawny, watered-down yellow body; white head sits with an appropriate pillowy arc, then settles out as a reasonable, albeit soapy ring; sporadic, tentacle lacing... AROMA: spritzy, light pale malts suggest pilsner; some bubblegum as well, but not much more in complexity... PALATE: medium-bodied,, yet light in carbonation; a pleasant, lingering aftertaste; a good partner for post-mowing deck relaxation...in essence, a slightly uncomfortable mouthfeel... TASTE: a predictably clean, taut malt assertion; biscuity at the finish; hops are clean and balancing... OVERALLL: little distinguishes this beer from the myriads of pilsners within the genre, but that is a positive in some respects; as a fourth of a sampler, hopefully not the one to be rushed towards, but that will depend on the rest of the mix...for now, serviceable and palate-cleansing...

Hazy golden puor with a thin white head. Aroma is mostly straw with light lemon. Nice cereal maltiness, bread, some faint citrus. Nice, crisp finish. Pretty good pilsner, nice body and refreshing.

Aroma of malt, hops, water, metallic, light citrus. Flavor is the same. Very solid lager. Good malt presence. Love that stickiness. Clear yellow with white lacing that sticks around.

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow gold body under a small fizzy white head. The nose is pretty nice, bready pale malt with a light noble hop aroma. Smells pretty clean and to style. The flavor is a little less clean than the aroma, there’s a little bit of a sweet, almost grape juice like note that’s a bit off. The hops are a little too subdued as well, not quite as fresh and clean as I would like. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and some lingering bready malt. Not as clean and crisp as I like for a Pilsener.

Pale yellow pour w/ a thin white head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is nearly sour & heavy on the malt. The taste is thin & metallicy. Not much flavor whatsoever. About as borderline micro as they come! Not recommended!

Drought at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Rich yellow with white foamy head, honey aroma, sweetish taste with a bitter end, not a remarkable product.

Aroma - smells very unpleasant almost like soap. Appearance - is clean golden yellow, with a big head that crashes hard and ends. Nice lacing. Taste - taste is bitter and kind of off, sort of ... like clay. Feel - is abrupt, and what you do taste is unpleasant. Grassy and assy. Nothing else worth mentioning. --- JPS
