3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Mild aroma w/ an average pour & mediocre taste. It’s light w/ decent flavor but a touch on the watery side. It’s drinkable & clean. Not bad but not exciting!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden orange color with a thin fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet citrus, caramel, hay, and some horse blanket. Typical Saison characteristics. Sweet citrus, hay, grass, funky yeast, lemon rind, and light spices. Not bad, but pretty average and a little on the sweeter side.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Golden pour with a small off-white head. A touch of farmhouse yeast in the aroma, a hint of plastic, some fruity esters. Dry flavor, a bit of bitter phenolics, some fruitiness. Not bad.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. The aroma on this beer is a bit misleading ... it smells sweet and malty. But this drinks with a definite, characteristic farmhouse funk. It settles as you go, though, and in the end this is a very marketable beer. Golden, light, mellow flavors. I think just about anyone would drink this. (#5182, 7/27/2013)

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Earthy perfume aroma, golden yellow body with thin cream head. Light bitterness, refreshing Saison for Summer even though it was brewed in the Spring.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Total Wine, Fairfax 12oz: Pours golden with no head, Aroma is fruity and yeasty. I think that this bottle might be bad or something. Taste is kind of bitter with a sort of sugary layer to it. Not very pleasant to drink. I feel bad for judging this harshly, but it is what I had. Turnover is pretty quick at Total Wine, especially of a Virginia brewery in the New Arrivals section, so I doubt that the bottle is that old.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2013 On draft at Hot Rods in Wharton NJ. A more mild American Saison. Lots of floral, clove and Belgian yeast in flavor. Not as much flavor as expected for the style.
