2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 hypn0toad (254) - Maryland, USA - FEB 23, 2011
This is sweeter than I normally like, but it is alright. I don’t know why the sweetness doesn’t bother me. I can’t really smell much because I was sick and my nose is still a bit stuffy. Appearance is standard and non-exciting. I don’t taste any fire?
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mansquito (2569) - Nueva York, New York, USA - FEB 15, 2011
Chef Geoff’s, DC tap ($7): Pours a light copper color with a white head. Aroma is a little spicy, with sweet malts at the forefront, and even a little boozy note. The beer is rather sweet, but not as cloying and annoying as some of the other people are making it out to be. Strange bready notes (don’t know how else to describe them). There actually is a counterbalancing hops presence, which doesn’t really mitigate the sweetness of the beer. Not that bad. Drinkable, a bit strange, and nothing really all that special.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Foxbush (1003) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 23, 2011
This a growler fom the brewery enjoyed on a night prior to work at Va tech. The beer was like a beligan white. It was too sweet for my taste. It needs some hops for balance. Smooth finishSome head with cloudy amber color.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 cheap (3409) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 19, 2011
On tap at the red lion in florida, nice place. Looks like pale lager. No visible CO2. Smells just plain fresh & beery. A lager which is a little coarse. Reminds me a bit of cheaper american malt liquor. Typical bock beer experience. Probaly should be styled as a strong lager.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 scottw86 (1019) - Maryland, USA - JAN 18, 2011
Poured a hazy amber/orange color with a foamy off-white head. Slightly sweet fruity aroma with cheese and dough. Taste has a surprising amount of orange flavor with coriander. Reminds me of a Belgian white almost, with all the wheat notes. A little too sweet and not many hops to balance it out, but it’s drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 jgb9348 (4027) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 17, 2011
Super hazy golden coloured body with a large off-white head and a thick body that looks like raw manuka honey. Aroma of pale malt, unfinished wort, sweetness, apricots and some light hops. Medium-bodied; Strong citrus and orange flavours with a bit more unfinished flavours tucked in. Aftertaste has some light citrus, very light german or european hops and some malt characteristics (wheat or light malt) that show fairly well. Overall, a decent beer - okay for the style, but nothing absolutely great and nothing expected for this time of year! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Ye Olde Spirit Shop in Frederick, Maryland on 29-July-2010 sampled at home in Washington on 17-January-2011.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JStax (1724) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JAN 14, 2011
Poured from bottle. Appearance is a somewhat hazy copper with a decent white head. Aroma is spicy like what a hefeweizen would be. Taste is strong spiciness. This is a nice sipper but not necessarily one to have very many. Overall this is an enjoyable beer but nothing to be sought after.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 dpento1 (236) - Virginia, USA - JAN 8, 2011
Pours a golden color with a small foamy off white head. Aroma of honey, caramel, and malts. Spices show up in the flavor, along with more honey, caramel, malts and toasted bread. Overall, medium bodied, and very smooth.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Strykzone (3866) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - DEC 30, 2010
Brought by my nephew Nate to our family Christmas get together. 12 oz. bottle. This poured a light copper color. A thin head never went away. There was some decent fruit, light fruit and light malt. A nice little hop flourish in the finish. A creamy feel. Nothing over the top here and a nice little beer.

pours with a thick creamy head atop a brown-ish color. first sip is sweet. this one is almost malt liquor-y. a bit of alcohol burn at the end along with a bit of unwanted sharpness. some strong ale notes linger.
