Hazy golden color/ fleeting white head. Nice pungent clove, banana, pale wheat aromas. Rich, smooth mouthfeel. Very good pungent spicy clove, banana flavors with grainy, mildly tart pale wheat. Tap @ Nashville Saucer.

THOUGHTS: Never heard of this brewery, but on a recent visit to Charlottesville, VA my girlfriend wanted to have a beer stop scheduled for me on our history-based vacation. This one is really nice. Better than I was expecting after tasting a few other locally brewed beers. A nice American version of the German style. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a murky, nearly opaque, dark yellow to light orange with an average-sized, foamy, white head that mostly diminished, but left fair to good lacing. The aroma was mostly banana with some orange peel or zest, wheat a little lemon and light to moderate yeast. The there was a slight dough funk that came out on the last couple sips when the beer had warmed. The initial flavor was lightly acidic; while the finish was moderately sweet with an average duration. There was banana, wheat, some yeast, and a little lemon at the end. The light body was watery then slightly dry with soft carbonation and a light astringent finish.

12oz bottle. Hazy, almost opaque orange-tan color. Fresh yeasty wheat aroma. Solid banana-clove characteristics. Smooth and easy-drinking. Medium body with some upfront crispness fades into a sweet watery finish. Pretty enjoyable beer. Sessionable all the way.

Rating #27 for 2012 12oz bottle room temp from a stem glass. Delightfully pleasant nose of warm sugar, spices, wet straw. Appearance clear pale straw color with a 1/4 inch head no lacing. Smooth taste of sweet oats, spice, hint of sourness. Clean mouth feel medium carbonation smooth finish. A favorite at last nights tasting.

Draught from the brewer. Very nice offering for the style. Pours yeasty hazy murk-straw color with a huge head and nice lacing. The nose is of straight banana, gum and wheat. In the flavor dept., upfront shows banana, but there are also lots of lemon along with clove, bubblegum and wheat. There is a nice hop bite to the finish, cleansing the palate very well. This is a very nice beer, and indicative of style.

What a great Hefe. Very nice hazy yellow pour with big white head. Aroma of banana, and a hint of pepper. Flavor was wonderfully clean and lightly citric. Body was medium and extremely easy drinking. We use to drink several pitchers at a time of this stuff at pint night. Glad to see this is being bottled now. Hopefully we’ll get some more seasonal bottle releases from these guys.

On draft at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is typical hefe: wheat, bread, banana, clove, and slight pepper. Flavor is similar. Light body and sessionable. Great starter beer.

Very wonderful Hefe. Loads of banana flavour and aroma. It hits you like a big refreshing summer breeze. Little clove or citrus present, just lots of sweet banana goodness. A cloudy yellow, maybe a little heavy on the carbonation, could have just been the keg at the Corzet open house.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2009 Sampled at MSBF. Pours a hazy orange amber with a white head. Fruity aroma. Typical Hefe body and mouthfeel. Flavor is heavy on the banana bubble gum with a nice amount of sweetness. Lacks some clove phenols to balance it out, but still respectable.
