50cl bottle thanks to onkelgobber. Pours dark brown with a red hue - a thin head. The nose has honey and gingerbread, going into Madeira. The taste has more of the cake notes with a nice cinnamon and rum note that stays with you. The palate is balanced with a medium body and texture. Overall, a decent beer for scooping.

Bottle:Deep ruby-amber coloured, stable and lacy off-white head, sweetish toasty-roasty nose, some malty bitterness in the background; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied, but quite soft; sweet toasty-malty finish, ending with a delicate bitterness. Surprise, a decent Dunkel, better than expected...

Bottle. Dark brown body, medium head. Aroma is fresh and malty. Taste is sweet and malty. Low bitterness. Much better than Stary Melnik pale lagers, which vary from sub-average to nasty.

Chestnut brown. Has the aroma of bread, lots of sugars. This has a good dark sugary character. A bit like an American Dark with deep Asian sugars. It’s sweet, but the flavours are nice.

Single bottle purchased from a grocery store in Krasnaya Polyana, Russia on 03/06/2012. Colour: Extremely dark red with no head. Nose: A very distinct and dominant burnt sugar aroma - clearly some nice toasted malt. Lots of dark grains. Taste: Medium sweet, medium-light bitter, medium-light sour. The caramel is abundant and plays the lead vocals here. A one-man band.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a nice big off-white head. Toasty malt aroma with dark bread and some caramel. Sweet flavor, a bit sugary, but not cloying, with malt, kvass-like notes and light toasty hints. Finish is also quite sweet. Light-medium-bodied. Surprisingly quite decent and easy-drinking.

500ml bottle. Dark brown color. Medium size, tan head appears, stays. Good lacing. Caramel, malts in the aroma. Very clean aroma. Caramel, malts, buttery, slightly metallic notes in flavor. Not bad, but very clean and boring.
