1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
500ml Bottle - Golden in colour with a small head.Malty, slightly doughy and yeasty aroma. Bittersweet and greasy taste which is not very pleasant. The finish does not linger too much but the sweeness is more noticeable than the bitterness. Not very pleasant and rather disappointing

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2008 500ml bottle.
Pale gold, tiny head. Some sweet alcoholic malt in the aroma. Big punchy taste - almost peppery. Doesn’t cover the alcohol very well. Taste a bit like heavy machinery - badly greased bearings and conveyor belt.

(500ml, jandakot liquor, Bibra lake, WA)
Whatever toxins are used in this brew, they burnt a hole in my frontal lobe after the first 5 sips. Seriously crude beer. To scared to taste thier other offerings.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A short head on top of a clear golden body. A bit buttery in both taste and aroma but you that is only after you get past the alcohol. I don’t usually like european strong lagers and this one is no exception although I did surprise myself and drank most of this!

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled. A bright orange coloured bere with no head. The aroma is very apply with industrial alcohol. Really quite an unpleasant nose. The taste is also industrial strength and quality. More odd apply flavours. Lacks balance with too much alcohol, in fact lacks anything nice really.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Darker yellow-gold; small, just off-white head. Warm grainy nose, with style-apt bready aroma. Quite restrained however, sweetish. First you get bread, for an instant. And then everything goes awry tastewise. The bread has been wrapped in soaked newspaper and foremost cabbage leaves (Russian style?), and the leaves have not been cleared of a good deal of fertile black soil. And the village pope knows from what grains the bread has been milled and baked... But it yielded alcohol, at least. So did the cabbage leaves, I fear. Ever so slightly sticky MF, but quite light bodied for its strength. Almonds faintly in the aftertaste. They try, they try. But everyday life is harsh in Putins’ Mother Russia...
