Bottle@Home. Grain and skunky aroma. Pale yellow color, white irregular head, good lace. Sweet, grainy, light bitter, hint of caramel, light bodied. Although light and being boring lager it’s still not even refreshing.

Heavy malty aroma. Huge, frothy, white head. Good lacing. Mostly lasting longevity. Clear, light yellow body. Moderate bitter initial flavor. Light to medium palate.

Pale yellow, tiny head. Very little aroma. Fairly bland taste too. Slightly fizzy carbonation, otherwise watery in the mouth. Bland slightly alcoholic finish. No bite, no body, no beer.

The best of a bad bunch from nostalgia. Aroma is grainy, cornish, skunky grassyness(its a clear glass bottle), doesnt really improve at all. Taste is similar as it goes on and after shaking most of the excess carbonation out theres a sweet honey note, but not enough to save it.

Bottle. Standard pale lager, nice head. Too pale yellow colour. Everything else is light and week, but ok pale lager.

Bottle bought in Riga, Latvia. "Vecais Dzirnavnieks." Golden colour, short white hed. Grainy hoppy aroma. Mild sweetish hoppy, maltish and bitterish aroma. Simple.

Canned. Yellow colour, big fluffy white head. Aroma is maize, some malts and slight grassy hops. Flavour is grassy hops, some malty notes as well as maize. Long grassy aftertaste. Not hopeless, I had waited for something worse...

Classy new look label adhered sadly to the side of a clear glass pint sized bottle gives the impression this is just your everyday working man’s lager, yet mine clearly states this is a Russian wheat beer - how odd!?!
Taste will tell.
Excited to be let free; the pour let loose a wickedly fluffy, wickedly quick to die back, three inches of white. Receded back to a spider’s web of mess I could now fill the glass with sparklingly bright, thinly looking yellow gold body. The carbonation fine but very intermittent. Eggy, heated plastic and milled, dried corn kernel nose. I take that back a little, this is like opening a can of corn kernels in brine water, not the best waft at all. Sweetly, sugary, fruity hit-in-the-face on first mouthful. Rather chemical, plastic/rubbery combo and wishy washy, soapy muddle otherwise. Featherweight in feel, but lingering and layering, it holds in the mouth long overdue for retreat. Finish is drabby cornmeal, no evident hops - or is there as there is something very dusty and pasty about this!!! Candi sugar and corn sweetness layers the lips, also not too pleasant. I can’t say I would go a good session on these at all, there is far better beer in Russia, I’d say this is best avoided. Definitely not a wheat beer, I doubt there is even that much malt in this.
