Yet another superb cider of Stassen Vin. It pours out of the champagne bottle in a clear dark golden colour with medium body. Nose of ripe apples. First taste was the one of sweet Most/Apfelwein, followed by ripe red apples, grass, leaves and caramel. Light sour hints and a quite dry finish. Enjoyed it a lot because it was so refreshing and delicious. Would have liked another bottle of this (btw you won’t recognize the 7 % alc. at all...).

Excellence ? Beinahe.

Bottle from a Delhaize in Leuven. Poured a yellow-golden, clear body. Slightly vinuous, sulphury appley aroma. While initially seemingly balanced, the sweetness starts to dominate in this one, something you don’t expect in a 7% cider. Slightly dusty and very lightly funky, so as not to offend anyone I guess, this ends up being a drink that’s sorta enjoyable, but for the presentation and the name, a disappointment, just nothing too special.

Metallic golden-yellow drink; very "moussating" to a good, but Champagne-like disappearing white head. Apples, dry, Champagne yeastesters, vinous; applejuice, but much drier; leafy - even appleblossoms. Dry and sweet taste alike, like some real ice-cream, without becoming too sweet; dried apples all the same. Very sparkling, fizzy as sparkling wine, but it has enough restsugars to avoid being thin. I’m not a big fan of moussating ciders - my standard are bone-dry Welsh-English scrumpies - but in its class, this must be one of the better ones. I’m agreably surprised this is Belgian made.
