A very light slight hop aroma. The flavor starts out pretty nice. Crispp. However, the finish is exceedingly dry. That seems to be a theme here of the Munkch pils. On tap at the Schneider Weisse haus.

Draught at Dusseldorf Airport. Bright straw with dense white head and good lacing; aroma of grain and German hops; dry and crisp with a grainy flavour and a hint of apple, quite full bodied with a well hopped finished. Better than the average Pils.

Bottled (BZ, BB 01/2011)
Pale yellow color, decent white head. Aroma is slightly grainy with some buttery hoppyness - standard. Light to medium bodied. Hayish Saazer hoppyness, backing sweet malts, hints of metal. Like aroma, flavor is like in a very standard German pils. Anyway not a cheap flavor, decent sauna drink. A bit like Kukko Pils in Finland.

Enjoyed at the out of the way Bavarian place outside Central Munich, just a lovely memory. Reviewing from notes. Poured a clear light gold, fluffy white head. Grassy, maybe light citrus fruits. Hopes are understated and well integrated. So crisp, exactly what I want in the style. Just lightly fruity, wonderfully dry, grassy, tight, and crisp. This was more like a Czech style pils to me. Awesome.

At Bix Box in emlichheim Germany, only 1 euro a 6-pack (3 weeks over date) golden, huge head, nice grassy one, lots of bisquit, a very nice pilsener.

[on tap] Nice sweet hay and base malt aroma that is actually quite strong. Bright gold under a lasting, white top. Excellent German Pils: commendable level of hops flavour compliments a fairly sweet, malty drink. Bitterness is moderate to medium and comes in after a nice hay accent. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, almost clean finish.

0,33 l in Hotel lobby. Yellow clear body, white head. Aroma of malts, some nice hops, little grassy. First taste is bitter, but doesnät last long. Watery. Some hops and wet malts in flavour.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Yellowish golden colour, mediumized fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some grass, hay and also mild herbal notes. Flavour is herbal, sweetish malts along with rather bitter grassyness.

Bottle. A clear, straw to golden beer topped by a nice but diminishing white head. Fruity, grassy nose with some pale malts. A bit sweet on the palate, at least to be sufficiently quenching. Dries up towards the end, with a nice bitterness. Medium body. Pale malts, grass, hay and bitterness initially. A quite decent pilsner, but as mentioned, on the sweet side. 100423
