Purchased from Jungle Jim’s World Market in Fairfield, Ohio - Alright, this one filled my jelly jar with a grain-smelling golden lager that was topped with a white head of foam. Tastewise, this is an okay lager, but nothing great.

Lightly hazed golden yellow body with mild carbonation under a long-lasting pillowy white head. Grassiness is the foremost aroma, but there is also a presence of pale malt, candied wildflowers and coppery coins. First sip was buttery caramel corn. Ack. Progressively, the flavor varies yet remains consistently bad, with raw alcohol tugs, metallic leans, and sugary slaps. Rather thick-bodied, causing this 500ml experience to approach upon being vomitous. Exquisitely difficult to finish since the presiding flavor is a fat, sugary ethanol. This is about what I expected from a EU Strong. Bleh. ~~~~~~ "Pint" bottle from Kenwood Liquors, Homer Glen, IL, purchased approx. 2 weeks ago.

330 ml bottle. Pours a pale gold with an average white head. Aroma of malt, grain and a bit of hops. Taste is similar, on the sweet side. OK.

Clear gold with a white head. Smell is funky vegetable and alcohol. Taste is sweet malt with the eastern euro-twang and light hops. Medium body.

330 ml import bottle.$1 single @ Binny’s. Just a touch of skunk under the cap,not bad for an import. Smell is better in the glass. A little faint, but lacking in corn adjunct smell. Appealing pilsener gold, plenty of bubbles feeding a fizzy head. Happy with the taste: it’s appreciably malty, and it’s contrasted to some assertive Noble hops. I do taste a bit of corn adjunct, but not enough to sweeten the beer. But for some reason, there’s an aftertaste with a tinge of funky mold. I can’t figure out where that comes from, but I can write it off as a personal distraction.

Very much a pale lager only with a little more robust. Decent maltiness, good for lager enough to be called Premium Lager.

Sitting at the airport bar and came across quite a surprise...pours a medium gold, slightly cloudy... Aroma is light gives off nice pilsner aroma but good, light hops, wheat fresh...taste is sweet, light hop easy to drink. A excellent euro sessioanl that’s easy to drink and a hundred times better than an american macro.

The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a light grassy hop and a touch of cardboard. The appearance is gold with almost no head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall it’s pretty typical for the style from eastern Europe but not as poor quality.

This crap was absolutely horrible. Pours piss yellow with a big foamy, white head. Smells like a wet dog and tastes like formeldehyde. I wouldn’t serve this to a rabid racoon.

A big white head tops a pale light golden and crystal clear brew. The importer calls this a "Polish Pils" but it seems a lot like your typical pale lager to me. Polish lagers are among the top of the Euro pale lagers. This one is no exception in the smell department. Strong floral noble hops meld with light malt to provide nice balance. There is a bit of sweetness in there as well. The flavor is mild, with the hops and malt in balance, with some typical Polish sweetness. THe mouthfeel is kind of week but it works with the flavors. This is a good summer session beer and not bad at 12.00$ for a 12 pack. I’m not sure who brews this but it is Stawski beer, yet it is imported by Stawski imports, which appears to be an American company as the owner is Stanley Stawski. It is a mysterious brew but if you see it it’s not bad for the price. My best bet would be Zywiec for the brewer of this one. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-10-2009 03:13:05
