A fresh leafy hops nose, hint of malt, murky amber/brown. Taste of good malt, some decent hops as well. Balanced, light bodied. Good. A nice tribute to a great person. Vaya con el dios Beer Hunter. mabel (1662), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 29, 2007 [765-20071020] Cask @ Volo Cask Days 2007 (Toronto, ON). Smoky wooden malt aroma has some sweaty dough mould notes. Cloudy, brown orange body with a little quick creamy off-white head. Tastes very much like Red Rose Orange Pekoe tea with some hops, potato starch, and buttery iced tea notes. Medium body is a little watery. Deadringer for tea.

GregClow (2350), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 27, 2007 Cask at Volo Cask Days 2007. Very hazy light amber. Aroma of iced tea and green hops. Soft mouthfeel. Flavour is quite tea-like, and a well bittered finish. Good, but it seemed unfinished in some way, like an element was missing. Still, you can’t fault the sentiment. blankboy (2617), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 24, 2007 Cask at ’Volo Cask Days ’07’. Pours a murky dark orange with a spare diminishing white head. Nice aroma of U.K. floral hops and caramel malt -- smells right on style to me. Flavour of floral hops, caramel malt and fruit and a nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. Well done, a nice version of the style.
