Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 3, 2008 Draught @ Cest What. Clear, copper with very thick beige head. Diacetyl, some caramel malt aromas. Sour flavors and a tiny bit of bread character. Quite sweet overall. Soft mouthfeel. Not entirely pleasant... hip_hop (84), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 18, 2008 The aroma is malty, with a touch of hops. Copper, medium vanilla head. Fine malty presence, some nuttiness. Creamy with good bitterness, nicely balanced. A delicious Vienna Lager. JoeMcPhee (3815), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Apr 8, 2008 Tap at Beer Bistro. Rich copper-coloured beer with a thick creamy off-white head. Softly toasted malt aroma over a very clean base. A whiff of toast and soft floral hops as well. Flavour is very well-balanced. Soft maltiness with a crisp, clean finish. Lingering breadiness. It’s a very well-made, quaffable take on this style. swoopjones (1179), Buffalo, New York, USA Apr 2, 2008 Draft @ Beer Bistro, Toronto. Pours a amber color. Pretty simple beer but a nice session beer. Smooth drinking malty offering. Very slight bitterness. Little light in the body department but a decent beer. DerWeg (443), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 1, 2008 Cool-brewed version on draught at C’est What, Toronto. I found the original Guelph beer very good with an almost ale-like softness and easeful coating of the mouth. A recent six-pack (2006?) was like drinking mildly-flavored water. This pint was far better. I liked the texture, the slightly nutty/sweet flavor and the restrained hops. Good session beer.
