Pours bright golden color, drinkable but has a very strong aftertaste. Good if there’s not much else around. decimator (48), Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2009 341ml bottle poured into a Pilsner glass. Poured a clear yellow with a 1/2 head. Left a thin cap and little lacing. Looks pretty average. Aroma has a good balance of grain sweetness and hop bitterness. Like the aroma the taste is a good balance of sweet malts and bitter hops. Not an aggressive or strong flavour but certainly better then most macro Lagers/Pilsners. Good carbonation, light texture and crisp finish. I could drink only this for hours. (And I have.) This is one brew that can regularly be found in my fridge. tpatrickr (4), Richmond, Virginia, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2009 Let me begin by saying I am not a big pilsner fan. Steam Whistle is beautiful and crisp, whithout being painfully dry. A little rounder that most pilsners. Perfect picnic/ball game beer. shawn14505 (34), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 3, 2009 On tap at the Brewery in Toronto. The best description I can give is that is like a slightly more hoppy Rolling rock. Not bad at all, miles better than Budweiser, Miller or Coors. Better than Labatt Blue. Overly expensive though. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 25, 2009 Co-worker brought a 12 pack back from Ontario. Light bodied, fluffy head, grass, hay, and straw, with a bit of sweetness. Painted label returnable bottle, beer was bottled July 14th, and I thought the carrying case was pretty neat. Checked out the website and it said they only made one beer. Who would of thunk? Clean start that gets crushed with a nasty aftertaste. Was not impressed by the strong aftertaste. pete4999 (126), Buffalo, New York, USA

It’s a pretty simple beer, goes down easy and is quite refreshing. The scent and aftertaste are a bit offputting though...I could see someone taking a sip of this and never drinking it again. I do think it’s cool how the brewery is still operating right in downtown Toronto and all that though.
