Prominent grassy hop aroma with a crisp (faint skunk) pils flavour. Light clean bitter finish.
A bit over-hyped in my opinion. Though admitedly I’m not a big Pilsner drinker. Good North America example of a ’traditional’ pils. TaktikMTL (2790), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

(Rating #553) LordBeamish (144), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada

Steam Whisle packs a punch by providing both easy drinkablity and bold taste. If you like pilsners, then you’ve got to give this one a try. Best of all, the pure ingredients mean that you can pound a few back and be ready for action without a visit from the ’grog monster’ the next day. You’ve gotta love the retro bottles and the pleasant ’hoppy’ aroma that welcomes the senses to each sip of this divine broth. GeoffT (12), Scotland

Light hop aroma and a satisfying grainy melanoidin aftertaste. Great brewery tour in Toronto. Highly recommended lager. StompBrockmore (300), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

That being said, this is not a bad beer...it’s just not something I would generally choose. The packaging on the other hand is great. This is the only beer the brewing company has released, and likely will not release anything else. Tyler*Durden (71), Denver, Colorado, USA

The best word to describe this pil is "mild"...mild floral aroma and a mild flavour with very little bitterness. An easy drining pil for hot days when you are looking to drink more than just a couple. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 18, 2006 Bottle. Pours a clear yellow with a quickly disappearing head. Smells like something I have smelt before, ah, that’s it, it’s a Bud. Beery, skunky and thin. Maybe an icy cold one after working in the yard would be OK, but it was not just sipping watching TV. Thanks Blankboy for the bottle. TexasAggie12 (64), Burnet, Texas, USA
