Fresh beer at the brewery. Light gold colored beer with solid flavors for a pilsner.

Free decent sized sample at the brewery, thanks! Clear golden with white head. Light sweet malts, grassy hops. The malts are quite crisp with just a touch of caramel, but mostly pils malts. Hops are just light fruity and mostly fresh grassy. Almost medium sweet and medium bitter. Almost medium bodied with a bit crisp feel. Nice pils, especially since it was free!

Pint can pour. Pours clear straw golden with quickly dissipating white head.Nose is a bit like banana, with some cereals and breadiness; similar flavour. A bit more creamy on the palate than I would have guessed. Light and crisp, sessionable, but nothing too special.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2016 On top of the world at The Roof Lounge at Park Hyatt in Toronto. Pours a clear golden with no head and no lacing. Nose is of slight cereals and corn. Taste is dry with a slight lager fruitiness and crisp but light cereals. Body is light and carbonation is very high. Alright but certainly not worth 9$ a pop.

Schöne old school 341ml Flasche. Hellgelbes Bier mit flachem Schaum. Grasiger Duft. Flacher Geschmack. Etwas Hopfen.

From backlog. Bottle in Toronto. Light gold with brief white head. Aroma of grain and grassy hops, taste follows. Ok, but maybe not a pilsner.

341ml bottle. Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of sweet malt, light straw, a very faint aroma of banana and apple juice, and bready yeast. Smells like a good Austrian lager. The taste is as expected, sweet malt, mineral water, and light fruit notes up front that leads into a maltier profile with a light floral note, and a more mineral notes in the finish. I like Steam Whistle pilsener, however...1) I can always buy a similar 500ml Euro-pilsener at a cheaper price 2) I have had some seriously bad luck with Steam Whistle bottles in the past in regards to skunked beer. It’s good, but I usually toss my money elsewhere.
