herbs, floral, golden in glass, lots of carbination to the eye, but head has faded on the first sniff of aroma. light sweetness, medium bitterness, thin feel, lively carbination, - too much kills the taste. Hint of a bitter finish. Next time I’d let this warm up slightly and settle down the carbonation.

$13 for a six pack. I thought it would be better than my K&K homebrew golden ale but it was just awful. barely a hint of amarillo and no flavour at all. Even if they dropped price to 5 dollars a six pack, probably wouldn’t buy again

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2015 Surprising. Lots of citrus aroma, golden colour, refreshing and easy to drink.

330ml bottle into glass. Another ’supermarket’ beer disguised as craft. ’Australian Beer Connoissers’ seem to be the Dr. Evil of Australian beer at the moment. On with the beer.....Nice floral hop nose. Yellow beer with lasting white head. A few bubbles. Chalky mineral mouthfeel with lemony hop notes in the finish. Nice beer made by faceless corporate types.

Don’t exactly know the difference between pale anf gold. Pale is better. Last taste is little wierd.

All varieties of Steamrail taste exactly the same. It’s just the different colour labels that make you think they are different.

Delicious craft pale ale with all of the idiosyncrasies one would expect from the craft brew scene in Melbourne, Australia. Only had the one but has all of the characteristics one would associate with a session beer and wish I’d bought six :)

Gold pour with a thin white head. Stone fruit and citrus aroma with a little malt. Taste is slightly sweet, peaches, very low bitterness and something slightly chemical. Ok but not great

Bottle from Liqorland. Clear, bright amber, slightly metallic, some fruity hops, sweet, almost sugary, grainy aroma. Not great.

Lively pour settles out a sparkling, sunny gold with high effervescence. Messy, sloppy pad of white atop holds on for the length and laces well. Aroma of mandarins, apricots, grass and bitter herbs with just a little metallic taint. Thin, soapy and foamy palate dominated by drabby hops and citric fruit esters. Medial bitterness in the finish before fading off rapidly but hinting at passionfruit and mandarin flesh. Pronounced pine and dusty grains mid-palate. Agreeable and very sessionable. Nothing to whine about in this one! (33cL, BB Liquorland Merriwa)
