COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong, fruity, belgian-style trippel.
Our aptly named Christmas Ale is based on the strong beers traditionally brewed by Belgium’s trappist monasteries and has a light golden colour. Because of its high strength this beer has an intensely fruity palate. Up front it has a honeyish sweetness but the finish is dry and champagne-like. On tap until early January.

Silver medal at the World Beer Cup 2014, category "Belgian-style Tripel"

650 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear golden colour with small white head. Aroma is tree fruit, white grape, spice and bready malt. Flavour is under ripe apple and pear, vinous white wine character, doughy bread and a little clove. Some alcohol also apparent. Drying finish. Not the craziest, but not bad.

650 mL bottle. Nice golden colour, but just a film of head. Sharp aroma of unripe pears, honey and booze. Boozy in the mouth as well, and again, lots of orchard fruit. Not too sweet. A tad thin, despite the booze. Boozy bitterness in the finish. Dry. Well carbonated. Not bad.

2015/01/17 - Pours a clear golden straw colour, with a thin, white head that disappears immeadiately. Appears to have low carbonation. Aroma is Belgian yeast, apple, clove, mild bubblegum and sweet, doughy malt. Taste is yeast, apple, clove, bubblegum, vinous tones, and doughy malt. Slightly metallic. Mouthfeel is light to medium with dull carbonation and a drying, white wine like finish. Balance seemed off. Ok, but I would not revisit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An offbeat style for a typical Winter seasonal so cheers to that. Handsome glass filling clear blonde with a frothy snow white topper. A nose buried into this reveals notes of white wine, grass, herbal and spicy hops, peaches, light basement and fruity, bready yeast. A dip into a sip conjures up sweet honey blended with the aforementioned scents, melded into a dry finishing, lightly spiced warmer with very little booze taste. The more I sip this the more I enjoy it, it’s not your standard Tripel. Mid-low carbonation makes it a bit tougher to get through the slight syrupy texture. Overall a pretty tasty brew and interesting choice for the season.

Bottle. Clear golden yellow colour with no head. Very fruity aroma, mandarin orange with a little Belgian yeast and subtle spices. Flavour is the same, but fairly simple and not very well balanced. Very little bitterness, a little one-note. Somewhat disappointing.

Fruity scents, full thick flavour like skiing through snow. It's great to be on the mountain but it would be nice if there was powder.

Definitely not the best tripel one had. Quite sweet and bitter. They clash and don’t complement each other. Meh.

Light thin orange body some head. Bubblegum and soap in the aroma and flavour. Not a fantastic tripel. They're also usually more vibrant on the palate which this was not. Okay.

pours a golden yellow with thin white head, mild aromas of fruit. some banana and cloves; alcohol is well balanced. nothing too special about this, but still a very drinkable, well-made tripel.

Thin, yellow/green colour supplemented with many bubbles and no head. Apple, cider, yeast and booze aroma. Very much akin to a fruity white wine. Absolutely delectable. Apple, caramel, malt, and dried fruit. Minimal hop finish. Very nice sipping beer.
