fiulijn (6010), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 2, 2008 Draught at the brewpub
Black color, creamy head (nitro). Very nice aromatic coffee in the nose. Smooth, creamy, with a soft body and good flavor of roasted malt, not too aggressive. Coffee-like final. I’m surprised that the beer I prefer in this brewery is a Porter (that means the others are really not so good). mgermani (649), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 27, 2008 Pours a very dark amber with a thick, creamy head and the slightest aroma of milk & a touch of marmelade. Tastes decidedly stout-like. Roasty & dry, milky. Creamy body with low carbonation. Not much of a porter, but ok as a dry stout. wnp22 (679), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada Dec 7, 2007 Tasted in Vancouver. Tasted at Steamworks in Gasworks district. Pint. Colour is dark brownish / /black, nito-like cream head. Very little aroma, some coffee, slight acridness / sourness. Flavour has soft burnt caramel / coffee nutiness. Nitrogen feel, seems manufactured and not terribly craft. yarry (353), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Jul 22, 2007 Sampled on tap at brewery
Dark brown colour with a generous brown head. Nose is malty, nutty with coffee accents. Tastes very nutty and coffee. Very nice dark coffee aftertaste. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Nov 26, 2006 Coffee grounds, charred roastiness and bittersweet dark chocolate in the nose. Dark brown, almost opaque body is topped by a low, off white head that recedes rapidly to the slightest ring. Burnt coffee and dark chocolate in the flavour that offers no real malt body. Light medium body with moderate but short-lived and pointy carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub.
