COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ale's golden amber color only hints at its full-bodied flavor. Its sumptuous maltiness is tempered by a goodly amount of bitterness and a mouth-filling hop flavor. In order to finish our I.P.A. with a truly fresh hop bouquet, we dry hop this ale in the serving tank with both East Kent Goldings and Mount Hood hops.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear deep golden. Grapefruity hop aroma. Fairly sweet with chewy, rounded mouthfeel. Very aromatic with a wealth of mangoish hops. Medium bitterness.

Hazy golden color. The aroma gives some delicate peach, but it could be better defined. The mouthfeel is lean, dry; the malt profile is anonymous; good bitterness level with nice fruity component (peaches and mango), but suffering from being too dry, papery.
Pleasant, but more APA than IPA.

Hazy amber color. Easy Ale, well bitter, with some malt flavor. Golden Ale, more than IPA.

2008-07-16, draught at the brewpub, 6-3-7-3-13=32
Hazy deep blond color; creamy head. There are some nice hops in the aroma, but very light. Some lost malt flavor, strong hopping, but with limited resins and interest. With the Porter, itís the more balanced than the other beers here, quite ok.

Tap @ Steamworks, Vancouver. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste grass, soap, malt and hops. A little boring and too few hops present.

On tap at Steamworks, Vancouver. Pale copper/gold, thin white head. Excellent hop, rather intense hop, but the structure is great. Great malt and creaminess, followed by a hit of intense bitter hops, faint grapefruit, but very intense. Full in mouth, not overly piney. Soft and full in mouth and then intense bitter finish.

Deep honey golden color, small white head, lace. Pine needles in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Piney, slightly resiny flavor with pine needles in the aftertaste. Clean, easy to drink. Classic NW IPA.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2004 Light copper colour. Almost no aroma - typical of this brewery and very frustrating for the dedicated beer lover. There isnít a chance in hell this is dry-hopped. Bland, syrupy, spicy flavour with cherry notes. Sugary finish. Really weak effort.

On-tap in Gastown. An off-bitterness that is astringent.Kent Goldings and Mount Hood hops, but it didnít work for me. Orangey colour, some lace. Under average IPA.

Ruddy-golden colour with very thin lacing. Mostly malt in the nose with surprisingly little hop aroma. Rich caramel malt flavour and some fairly mild bitter hops. Has a long bitter finish.
