COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lion's Gate Lager has a light body, a very crisp palate and a soft, hop finish, which is imparted by the exquisitely gentle Czech Saaz hop variety.

Draft at brewery: Surprising amount of body. Decent flavor. Had some sweet bread dough. Mild bitterness, as expected. OK for a light lager.

on tap at brewpub, fri feb 26. Not terrible but bland, even for a lager. No offensive tastes or aroma, just plain.

Has a light body, clean, dry flavour. A very crisp palate and a soft, hop finish. The worst of the Steamworks family. Not a horrible beer, just riding that middle of the road, which is what they were probabely going for being at a brewpub. SAFE!

Nice clear gold brew with a small white cap that fades too quickly. The aroma seems creamy.. huh? sweet fruit, vanilla or banana pudding. Soft caramel taste, odd mild honey, mild meat? what the hell? This is a tad weird. Light orange. Interesting but I am not a fan of this at all. High carbonation and feels a bit rough with a mild bitter finish that is off. Zero for two from Steam Works so far.

Right off the bat, I like that they named it after the local big suspension bridge in Vancouver. A light pale lager with some spicy bitter notes from the hops and a sweet pleasant malt presence. Nothing to write home about, but nothing incredibly terrible either.

Cask@Steamworks Brewery Brewpub, Vancouver. Golden beer with a hopped and dry aroma and flavour. Overall a nice dry and hopped lager.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear gold color. The head was thin, lasting, and left some lace behind. Smelled of grass and light honey. Light bodied and delicately sweet. Pleasant flavors of fresh cereal grain, honey, buttered bread, and a bit of grass.

Draught at the brewpub
Blond color. The aroma is very light. The mouthfeel is dry, there is a light flavor of crispy and breadish malt, but there is a problem with the bitterness (too long hop infusion?). And at the end there is an impression of hay. Simple and with some flaws.
