Lion's Gate Lager has a light body, a very crisp palate and a soft, hop finish, which is imparted by the exquisitely gentle Czech Saaz hop variety.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale golden. Buttery malt aroma. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel and light-medium body. An unpleasant amunt of boiled vegetables followed by a finish with low bitterness. I wouldn’t be able to tell it from a Heineken.

Mild, somewhat grainy and sweet malt forward aroma with some light notes of citrus hops. Clear golden body is topped by a low, fine bubbled, white head that recedes to a lasting cover with good lacing. Grainy, toasty and cereal malts in the flavour with herbal and citrus hops and light bitterness. Medium light body with lively, crisp carbonation that engages the tongue. Sampled on tap at the brewpub after the Grey Cup 2005.

Well, not to be overly cruel, but its basically a mainstream canadian lager made with a bit of care and a tiny bit more flavour. Pale yellow colour with next to no taste and nothing that would make me buy a full pint.

(Draught) Thin, white dissipated-head with a clear, non-carbonated yellow body. Mildly caramel with lactic tones. Milky malt flavouring with a unagreeable creamy finish.

Pale golden colour with a thin white head. Aromas of pale malt, light floral and grassy hops. Crisp finish. Well done, but could have used a bit more bitterness.

Golden color, light hoppy aroma, decent hoppy flavour but fairly one dimensional and a bit boring for me.

Aiming for mainstream and that is what they get. Don't bother, unless your looking for numbers.

Huge head. Overpowering grainy aroma. The batch I had must have used some bad Saaz hops for it was a bit cheesy. Still, the finish was a hint of spice.
