COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Plenty of British Crystal malt in the grist lends this ale its rich color, its caramel maltiness, and adds the occasional whiff of toffee to the nose. An addition of American and German hops to the kettle at the end of the boil is used to suffuse our Pale Ale with a gently spicy hop finish.

On tap at Steamworks. Clear copper appearance with a thin head which leaves some lacing. Seems more like an IPA, with it’s distinct hoppy taste. Aftertaste was a little too rough for my liking. Overall an average that I would like to try again for a second opinion.

On tap.Quite a bready pale ale, made for people who don’t care for Pacific Northwest style ales, I guess. A bit of cascade in the nose but not too much, the body is quite bready, grainy, and that’s the defining characteristic for me. Finish is bready dryness.

Pint on tap at the brewpub pours a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of white head and a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light hops. Taste is light caramel sweetness and a modest amount of hoppy bitterness that lingers a bit. This is a pretty tasty pale ale with a nice tingle on the palate.

Amber color, small steady off-white head. Nose has butterscotch. Medium-bodied. Some caramel, light bitterness and butterscotch. Unclean.
