COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Plenty of British Crystal malt in the grist lends this ale its rich color, its caramel maltiness, and adds the occasional whiff of toffee to the nose. An addition of American and German hops to the kettle at the end of the boil is used to suffuse our Pale Ale with a gently spicy hop finish.

On tap at Steamworks. Clear copper appearance with a thin head which leaves some lacing. Seems more like an IPA, with it’s distinct hoppy taste. Aftertaste was a little too rough for my liking. Overall an average that I would like to try again for a second opinion.

Smell is hoppy. Taste is balanced and hoppy with mild bitterness. Pretty good pale ale I thought. Nothing too unusual or exceptional however.

Bottle. Solid pale ale. Loads of cascade hops giving a nice grapefruit bitterness backed by caramel malts. Solid stuff ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml can. Clear light copper, solid foamy off-white head lasts. Surprisingly pungent pine needle aroma eventually dissipates. Light piney grassy hop taste, mildly sweet caramel/pale malt. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, medium hopped. Starts out nice but blands out a bit. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

This Pale Ale poured a clear amber colour with a nice, off white foamy head. Scents include pineapple/citrus hops, a little grass, sweet malts and cereal. First sip was very nice with a nice balance between hop and malt. Finish is lightly bitter with spruce hop flavor lingering.

Bottle from BC variety pack at LCBO. Clear amber. Good malt and hop balance overall, with a decent bitter bite at the end. A perfectly acceptable pale ale.
