2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 LordUppity (26) - Surrey, British Columbia, - APR 8, 2006On tap at Steamworks. Clear copper appearance with a thin head which leaves some lacing. Seems more like an IPA, with it’s distinct hoppy taste. Aftertaste was a little too rough for my liking. Overall an average that I would like to try again for a second opinion.

On tap.Quite a bready pale ale, made for people who don’t care for Pacific Northwest style ales, I guess. A bit of cascade in the nose but not too much, the body is quite bready, grainy, and that’s the defining characteristic for me. Finish is bready dryness.

Pint on tap at the brewpub pours a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of white head and a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light hops. Taste is light caramel sweetness and a modest amount of hoppy bitterness that lingers a bit. This is a pretty tasty pale ale with a nice tingle on the palate.
