arhythmt (67), USA Nov 4, 2004 I thought this beer was terrific; most of the pumpkin ales I’ve tried (Elysian et al.) just don’t taste like pumpkin pie, which is what I want to taste...I mean, let’s face it, if you’re drinking a PUMPKIN beer, you don’t want it tasting like gourds. You want it to taste like a slightly sweet, nutmeg/cinnamon/clove glass of pie, which is what this beer tastes like. Good stuff. I had a few.
Enniskillen (1571), Port Angeles, Washington, USA Sep 7, 2008 Brown with a thin off white head. Aroma is pumpkin, clove, nutmeg. Taste is spice, pumpkin concentrate, heavy cream, milk. mgermani (599), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Nov 11, 2007 Pours a dark orange-amber with a small head and a strong pumpkin & spice aroma - delicious! Tastes of dark crystal malt and lots of pumpkin spice - not a lot of pulpy vegetal notes, it’s hard to taste the actual pumpkin for the spicing. Decent hopping and a dry finish. Body is very light with decent carb, making this a very sessionable pumpkin ale. I like it! Beershine (1214), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 13, 2007 I’m usually this beer’s biggest fan and am the only person I know who can drink two at a time. I really enjoy it and try to drink a pint at the pub every year. It tastes to me like liquid pumpkin pie, only better. Nicely spiced, and complex. Tipsy_McStager (818), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 9, 2007 Delivers as advertised. Liquid pumkin pie. Spiciness, gingerbread, pumpkin. Even pours a pumpkin orange. presario (2405), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Sep 15, 2007 GCBF sample. Copper. Minimal head. Dark pumpkin and light spice in the nose. More spice than pumpkin in the flavour. Meaty.
