crizay (1056), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Mar 17, 2008 Thanks lb4lb. Copper pour, medium white head. Aroma is sweet malt almost corn. Flavor is caramel malts, bready, biscuit and a nice clean floral hop finish. Some citrus in there as well and the IBU’s have to be pretty low. Very well balanced, crisp taste and just a clean example of malts and hops combined that a pale ale should be.
Suds_McDuff (909), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, USA May 1, 2008 very appealing aroma .... lacing is screaming.... low but stand up to the man head ... dark orange in colour ... very tasty, and smooth... no alcohol detected.. a dangerously drinkable beer that if u treat like a session, might just make u meet a ditch.. better than i thought it would be.. IPA!!! pint_size (772), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 30, 2008 4-2-08 bottle
Very clear amber orange with little head. Smell is doughy with a faint hint of hops. Flavor is malty and doughy with that same faint hop background as is in the smell. A hint metallic and weak bodied. Not really a great strong or hoppy brew. BDR (1810), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Apr 23, 2008 A couple of samplings at both the Cellar’s and JJ Taylor expo. Pale orange with citrus hops on the aroma. Light, sweet maltiness to balance out the bitter hops. Very nice. garretjax (102), Colorado, USA Apr 16, 2008 Clear golden copper color with a thin white head. Bready malt aroma with a touch of citrus undertone. Medium bodied and low carbonation. Herbal, grassy hops flavors and something that reminds me of olives. Not too much bitterness in the finish kind of short and quick. JK (2262), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Apr 13, 2008 Considerably better than their kolsch. Light orange color. Hop aroma with citrus, some orange. Sweet malt body. Bitter with citrus. Good. Better than average.
