Oct 16, 2009 Gravity cask at Oxford Beer Festival. Pale hazy yellow with a white head. Appealing aroma of resinous american hops. Well balanced but gentle multi citrus hopped flavour, but with slightly watery malt base. Flat carbonaton and haziness suggest that this example was served too early. With a bit of extra body and bitterness (that was lacking due to reported over sparging) and better cellaring, this would have been an absolute corker. I look forward to future efforts from Gazza and Dave.
Cask gravity at Oxford Beer Festival, 15-10-09 Pours a lemony colour with white head and whilst there is a little haze, it looks pretty decent. Lovely hoppy nose, its likely that I’m picking out the American hops possibly the Amarillo. Taste is very much tingly hops to start and a pleasant streaky bitterness that leaves a little hop burn on the roof of the mouth. I understand that this didn’t end up quite as hoppy as Gazza and Dave expected but regardless of this it is still a pleasant hoppy little number and for their first brew a pretty solid start. Soft mouthfeel but nicely refreshing and the finish is dry. A good start to my night working at Oxford Beer Festival. A7 A3 F7 P4 Ov15 3.6
