Has a sparkling deep gold in my La Trappe goblet with a whisp of a head...it just didn’t hold. Aroma of pale malt, a little corn and alcohol. Smooth body, sweet palate but more accented towards malt than grain. There is a very minor grassiness. What the hell? You can’t sit on a stoop and drink this. You can’t do doughnuts out front of the park manager’s trailer drinking this. It tastes like beer, not malt liquor. Damn it.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 bhensonb (8999) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 24, 2006
24 oz can. Store was going out of business - 30% off - only one can. Not much to lose. Decent golden color. Creamy white head. Smells of corn and yeast. Starts with corn and alcohol, moving on to alcohol. Develops something of a nasty wet paper taste, before finishing with corn. Twice the ingredients and twice as long a brew - so twice the alcohol, but not twice the flavor. Not the greatest aftertaste.
