slow brewed? ok. another slummer, for less than $2. Again slightly better than the horrid SR211 (NON triple export :)) but still pretty bad. Corn and alcohol. Not skunky, but not good.

24 oz. can from AdamT ("Thanks"?). Well, it looks nice with a golden pour and a pillowy white head. Aroma of sweet corn and lemony hops. Tastes like college at some lame keg party where quantity wins over quality. Even in the malt liquor world this is bad.

As a fan of malt liquor, this defeats the 211 in it’s tracks with a smoother flavor. I cool my cans as I drink them and there is a technicality with Steel Reserve that my personal preference temperature has to be as low as it could go " some beers are best served just above the freezing mark " Low fizz when warm is precisely what I’m not looking for on a cheap quality beer and it packs the widely known steel reserve 8.1% punch. This version as it loses its temperature, achieves the sweetness malt liquor connoisseurs are looking for. When warm is best compared the extra malty feel of an Olde English 800 where the overall score of the 211 loses its ground once it begins to achieve room temperature.

From the 24 fl oz can. Yellow carbonated pour. Aroma of harsh pale malts, corn, grass, and butter. Medium body. Toasted mild sweetness gives way to cloying grassy bitterness at the end. There is a difference between this one and the regular 8.1% Steel Reserve. This one is more obnoxious.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from a 24 OZ can into a pint glass ( red plastic solo cup would have been more appropriate)
This beer is cheap and has a high alcohol content. Mecca for college kids and skid row bums.
There is a little yellow coloration and smells like stale corn
The taste is of lightly carbonate corn meal with an alcohol bite at the end.
Buy a sixer of these jumbo cans and see if you can finish them and then look yourself in the eye in a mirror after the deed is done. If you drink to many of these I am sure this is the main reason for poor decisions and regret.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is a high gravity malt liquor but at the same time a respectable lager. The aroma is not much but it looks the part of a nice lager. The taste is thick, rich, sweet, and more apple-like than all of the faux cider-pop that the big breweries are making now. The finish is smooth if virtually unhopped. I would drink this again.

Pours a clear golden body beneath a quick dissipating was. Nose of acetone, bruised apple and corn. Fizzy, corny and paint remover flavour. Gross.

(can - 24 oz) Gold pour with a white head. Too sweet in the aroma. Too sweet and astringent in the flavor. Not a whole lot of good.
