its like steel reserve without the harsh aftertaste I think it tastes pretty good and the alcohol content is through the roof plus the price helps it in fact this is one of my favorite beers

40oz bottle a few years back. Pretty tasty and much better than silver steel reserve.

It is actually quite smooth for 8.1%. I find this better than some of the other Steel Reserves. It is drinkable and will get you drunk fairly quick.

My lucky day. Can from Neighbors fridge. Not much here for me to like. It tasted of old corn and grain. Thin, watery body.

24oz can from a convenience store in Sisters, OR. Pours deep golden with a fizzing out soda like head. No retention. Nose is thick honey and corn syrup. Nothing offensive. Taste is salty, oh man huge booze up front with higher fusel alcohol and big cerebral kick in the sobriety. Cloying, thick corn syrup finish. Too much boost for me.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours yellow with pillowy head. Crisp carbonation. Aroma is corn, some malt and toasted white bread. Taste is semi-medicinal with alot of adjunct flavors and some corn. A little bit tart in the aftertaste. Thin to medium body. Not bad. For 99Ę you can?t beat it. Helps to calm down after Almost dying at work. Full vertical doors can kiss my ass.

The labels of these things are really misleading... it should read something like "Our brewmaster drunkenly stumbled into a pile of horse manure, and scraped his boots into the vessel as the cheapest ingredients we could find..." Eerily sweet slightly toasty. Just not good.

Thus completing all SR 211ís currently offered. This beer is bangin. Gold pour, small white head. Apple sauce and grape all over this one. A bit sweeter than I remember the regular steel, but that wasnít triple exported. Pretty smooth.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2013 A tribute to drowland. Massive can at the Thunderbird malt likka tikka tasting. It pours clear amber with medium white head. The nose is burnt plastic, corn, butter, grainy, tarmac and rotten vegetation. The taste is grassy, corn, sweet garbage, butter and weird bitterness. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Itís bad state of affairs when a beer like this is one of the best of the tasting. Leaves a dirty taste in your mouth...

Can via Some Chicago Gas Station@ DSM LOL 1st edition 06/13/13
Pours a golden color with a small head and surprisingly good lace.
The aroma is alcohol & corn with some stinky feet, itís surprisingly faint really.
The flavor is creamed corn, grain neutral spirits, & grape drank.
Cates lap it up,
