0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Tasted on 8/14/14 from a 24oz can purchased at a gas station in Georgia. Pours dark grape soda purple with an average purple head that quickly recedes to very thin lace. The nose is fruity, fake black berry, fruit punch, kids’ vitamins. The flavor is the same, this is syrup sweet dark Hawaiian Punch fruit punch. maybe a touch of alcohol burn on the back, but I may as well be drinking grape soda. The body is fizzy, thick, just like a regular soda, with a long sickly sweet fruity finish. There is nothing beer about this whatsoever.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I am probably the one of the first people to ever taste Steele Reserve. It was at a bar in Covina Calif called Semag and Strops. (Sports and Games) I knew back then this beer will be going places. Now there is a new one? I tried it and I like it. Grape flavor and not too harsh. Steele Reserve to me started to change their brewing ideas, started to taste different, you flat. So now I will start drinking this new one.

Can from the gas station. Pours a purple-ish amber with a thin layer of grape juice colored head. Aroma of intense berries. Taste malts and intense fruits.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Can. Pours as fizzy and purple as a glass of grape soda pretty crazy looking actually. The nose is exactly like soda as well, sugary and fruity with lots of berry. The flavor is pretty gross though, it’s like a glass of grape soda up ftont, but then there’s an alcohol kick on the back end that kinda takes you by surprise. Sticky and clingy like soda with lots of fizzy carbonation. Any believe they make stuff like this without a huge outrage from anti-alcohol people. I could easily see my kids downing this without a second thought. Gross.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours a very dark purple with very little head.
The aroma is just as promised, all the odd, grapey, corny malt-liquor-y notes of steel reserve with a blast of berry soda!
The flavor is surprisingly clean, not terribly boozy, and very blackberry forward & very very sweet... Whatever adjunct they use here doesn’t have as authentic a fruit taste as say what they’re using at Lindemans, it’s far more fruit soda like than those beers, although they have allowed for a fairly generic beer flavor to permeate the sweet syrup.

This beer looks, smells, and tastes like purple. If you drink too many, you will see The Grimace.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
This stuff is hands down better than that Bud Light Lime-A-Rita garbage. Well, slightly better anyway. It is still not good. It pours such a dark purple as to almost look like a brown ale or something unless you hold it to the light. It even has a tiny bit of head. This really tastes pretty much exactly like grape soda and is just about as easy to drink. The alcohol is only apparent in a little burn on the back of the throat and it is easy enough to ignore if your goal is to drink this garbage quickly. Really the main thing stopping you from just chugging this stuff is it has way too much carbonation, I am surprised Miller put the Steel Reserve Label on this stuff. Now that AB is marketing high alcohol sugar to seemingly normal people, you’d figure this would be the perfect stuff to compete.
