Pours an off purple color with minimal head and lacing. Aroma is of sweet berries and slight malt. Taste is predominated by sweet, berry/grape with a slight alcohol backbone. Malt and hops are hardly detectable. Itís closer to a wine cooler than a malt liquor IMHO. Palate is OK. Overall, an interesting beverage and relatively cheap for quick 4-pack try.

Found this bad boy in a Grocery Store. Alloy series! Haha. Pours a dark purple color with some bubbles. The aroma is all grape drink. Well, thatís it really. Itís grape soda with some dirty alcohol. Man, this is nasty. But it works. Itís an offense to the beer gods, but not undrinkable. I finished it.

I am so not looking forward to this thing. What Iíll do for a new rating, though. I expect drainpour here, but you never know. 24 oz can that I got for free, expired about seven months ago. Aroma is sickly sweet berry along with a hint of vomit. Smells like a kidís drink. Pours purple but looks ruby red in the light; has a purple head that collapses into a ring after a few minutes. Taste is like mildly spiked punch, artificial shit bomb. Itís sweet with a little tartness, no bitterness. Average carbonation, slick mouthfeel that feels oily in a dirty way. Yeah, prediction accurate: drainpour.

ugly 24 oz can bought from a local Mom and Pop convenience store. $1.79 surprisingly attractive to look at deep black/blue with a nice thick tan head. Aroma not so nice grape Kool aid to be honest. Taste a little more balanced and less grape more artificial blackberry ( sometimes called blue raspberry). Palate very sweet then drying. Weird stuff and stretching the limits of "beer"..but dear god this would be a great "panty dropper" among the student bunch

Where and how: can 24 oz
Aroma Ugh! Artificial sweet cloying aroma of what meant to be berry like. Sweet with dry vodka burn. Simply nasty.
Appearance :
Top: minimal flat top, tinted.
Base: purple berry pop soda like.
Palate : mid bodied, mid carbonation, rough edges, rough mid and finish.
Taste: elements of liquefied gummy bears with plenty of rough drying alcohol. Reminded me of poor quality sweet alcoholic pop.
Other notes I rated this so you donít have to.

Can. Pours a clear extremely dark purple with a white head that has a touch of purple that dissipates immediately to the edges. Aroma has notes of artificial grape and blackberry that dominate. Flavor has lots of artificial black berry and grape with not much else

Can at porch nite thanks (?) to Raith. No beery qualities to this at all. Tastes like berry soda with rubbing alcohol. Yuck. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on 8/14/14 from a 24oz can purchased at a gas station in Georgia. Pours dark grape soda purple with an average purple head that quickly recedes to very thin lace. The nose is fruity, fake black berry, fruit punch, kidsí vitamins. The flavor is the same, this is syrup sweet dark Hawaiian Punch fruit punch. maybe a touch of alcohol burn on the back, but I may as well be drinking grape soda. The body is fizzy, thick, just like a regular soda, with a long sickly sweet fruity finish. There is nothing beer about this whatsoever.

I am probably the one of the first people to ever taste Steele Reserve. It was at a bar in Covina Calif called Semag and Strops. (Sports and Games) I knew back then this beer will be going places. Now there is a new one? I tried it and I like it. Grape flavor and not too harsh. Steele Reserve to me started to change their brewing ideas, started to taste different, you flat. So now I will start drinking this new one.

Can from the gas station. Pours a purple-ish amber with a thin layer of grape juice colored head. Aroma of intense berries. Taste malts and intense fruits.

Can. Pours as fizzy and purple as a glass of grape soda pretty crazy looking actually. The nose is exactly like soda as well, sugary and fruity with lots of berry. The flavor is pretty gross though, itís like a glass of grape soda up ftont, but then thereís an alcohol kick on the back end that kinda takes you by surprise. Sticky and clingy like soda with lots of fizzy carbonation. Any believe they make stuff like this without a huge outrage from anti-alcohol people. I could easily see my kids downing this without a second thought. Gross.
