3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at brewery. Nice deep and dark the only thing lacking was the palate. For a stout it was not as creamy as I prefer.

Draft at republic, Mnpls. Rich, sweet, milk chocolate aroma that is somewhat faint. Fully opaque body with light brown head. Sheet lace...lovely. Creamy engine oil consistency. Really nice. Smooth, rich. Outstanding brew.

Bomber to snifter (thanks kbutler1). Looks good; black with tan lacing. Smells malty and a little roasty. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Solid beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample. Black in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of blue plum, milk chocolate, and mocha flavored coffee. Flavors are of chocolate malt, ash, earthy hops and a hint of cherry. Medium bodied. A solid straightforward stout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Zipps, Nice dark brown nearing black pour nose is roasty and malty, body is a bit thin which surprises me given the oat addition, a good solid beer glad to see Steel Toe doing their thing.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown pour. Not knowing what style of beer this was before drinking, I thought it might resemble a dunkel, a very good one at that. Some smokiness in the flavor, sweet caramel and oatmeal. Incredible mouthfeel. A nice start to my journey with Steel Toe beers.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Syrupy black pour that shines ruby around the edges and retains a mocha like foam. A heavy, detailed aroma; at times, bright and fruity, and at others dark and intense. Richly spicy and earthy with coffee, cinnamon and gingerbread; lots of candied and overripe red fruits. Slow to emerge, composed, and made interesting by its abundance of yeast and hop presence.
Strongly vinous flavor; cherries, raspberries and figs work with a big, bright citrus hop note that really stands out. There’s plenty of velvety dark malt laying calmly beneath.
Medium, fairly effervescent texture; easy to drink. A lot unfolds at the finish; rich raisiny cavendish tones give way to an awesomely meaty, smokey roast flavor, long after swallowing. A winningly unusual take.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour is black as night. Thanks to the Mill Town Mashers for this by the way!
Smell is coffee, cocoa, burnt toast, and loads of malt. Taste is bready and toasty, with a surprisingly strong oat presence. A lingering bitterness akin to baking chocolate rounds out the finish. Very good.
