Sampled at Northgate Liquors MN beer tasting. Bready, biscuity aroma. Light taste with grain and some fruit. Just OK.

Tap - small foamy head, mildly hazy medium straw color, mild sweet malty aroma and flavor, fair earthy hop balance, more full bodied than you would expect from the color, pretty good for a blonde ale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg @ Steel Toe. Gold with a small head. Nose of straw, white bread and honey. Light, easy drinking nature. Haystack. Light grassy hop. Dry white bread. Light body, active carb.

Misty blonde pour; airy aroma with honey nut malt sweetness and mineral salinity. Elements of nori, pond water and green leaves combine for a lakeside foliage effect which is difficult to translate. Clean, lightly hoppy flavor with apricot skins, limestone, and fresh dough. Flowers and citrus rinds are teasingly present, embodying the typical disposition of a slender, balanced beer like this. The body is clean and lean; crisp.

This is a beer that can reach great heights when very fresh and new from the tap, and this tasting isn’t at that level. It also seems likely that the bottled versions that have been documented by other raters also fall short in this respect. In my opinion, when it is in peak form, this is one of the very best beers brewed in the twin cities, granted that this circumstance is somewhat rare.

Tap at Park tavern. Hazy gold with thick white head. Not a ton of smell. Sweet and sugar. Mild and almost creamy. Soft in the mouth. Easy to drink but more full bodied. Kinda average overall though.

Draft at the brewery. Super light-colored. This is a big-time sweet drinker, damn near lemonade, with a tart finish. A definite American golden ale, one the lawn mower and young lady crowds will enjoy. (#5653, 8/28/2014)

Bottle from burgy! Pours a very light gold, pretty bright and clear, small white head. Aromas of light floral hops, cloves, bananas and wispy lagered yeast. Taste is pretty thin. A nice balance of light floral hops and a light malted sweetness. Good for a hot summer day, but a little light for my tastes...especially in this extended winter!

A decent little blond ale. Definitely a quality beer, some h ops going on here. but a pretty basic session ale. On tap at Steel Toe Mpls.

Aromas are sweet and candy like. Nice Belgian aroma and flavor profile. Yeasty and a bit watery. Not bad.

Tap at Black Sheep. An unfiltered blond ale that maintains its fresh look throughout the consumption of the beer. Tastes mostly bitter by has some sweet, banana notes. Tough one to appreciate when it’s under 10 degrees outside...probably better in the summer. More bready than earthy. OK, not great.
