Growlet from brewery. Pours a cloudy golden with a good sized white head. Floral and spicy aroma with a touch of cereal malt. Taste is the same. Very spicy for a golden ale.

Bottle. Grassy barley malt aroma. Clear gold with a large loose, quickly dissipating white head. Barley malt and grassy hops flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation.

It's a blonde ale...a good one. Great session beer. Not too bitter and malty enough. I can't say it's "slightly sweet malt" as they describe, but I am glad. Will definitely look to drink this beer again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Average brew...easy light drinking...not really much in the flavor...malt dominates.

Tap - small foamy head, mildly hazy medium straw color, mild sweet malty aroma and flavor, fair earthy hop balance, more full bodied than you would expect from the color, pretty good for a blonde ale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg @ Steel Toe. Gold with a small head. Nose of straw, white bread and honey. Light, easy drinking nature. Haystack. Light grassy hop. Dry white bread. Light body, active carb.

Misty blonde pour; airy aroma with honey nut malt sweetness and mineral salinity. Elements of nori, pond water and green leaves combine for a lakeside foliage effect which is difficult to translate. Clean, lightly hoppy flavor with apricot skins, limestone, and fresh dough. Flowers and citrus rinds are teasingly present, embodying the typical disposition of a slender, balanced beer like this. The body is clean and lean; crisp.

This is a beer that can reach great heights when very fresh and new from the tap, and this tasting isn’t at that level. It also seems likely that the bottled versions that have been documented by other raters also fall short in this respect. In my opinion, when it is in peak form, this is one of the very best beers brewed in the twin cities, granted that this circumstance is somewhat rare.

Tap at Park tavern. Hazy gold with thick white head. Not a ton of smell. Sweet and sugar. Mild and almost creamy. Soft in the mouth. Easy to drink but more full bodied. Kinda average overall though.
