COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
While the size of the boot might be a bit small, the intensity of the hop flavor and aroma in Size 7 more than makes up for it. We take prodigious amounts of hops and add them any chance we get to this Northwest style IPA. If you ever call Size 7 balanced we’ll kick you where it hurts (in the hop sack).

22 oz. bottle. Excellent, sharp, lemony, dry, bitter aroma features quinine, pine, fried Asian food, and sugar scents. Pours a clear gold with a moderate amount of bubbling. Moderate amount of uneven, cream-colored head. Produces mild, wispy lacing. Quite dry taste dominates over a fruity, floral base. Lemon sourness, salt, and peach flavors. Alcohol slightly noticeable. Produces a long, lightly tongue-numbing, dry aftertaste. Medium body. Lively in the palate. Steel Toe Size 7 IPA is a very good beer. It is another fine effort from a promising new brewery.

arminjewell (6069) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 22, 2012
Pour on tap at Winterfest 2012, dark orange pour with thin very white head, aroma brought notes of nice caramel, biscuity bread notes with a solid pine, grass and hints of orange and grapefruit in there as well. Taste was better, with the citrus coming through to balance the pine a bit better, nice sweet biscuit and slight spicy notes, finishing fairly bitter. Nice!

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of fruits, malt, caramel, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and lots of hops, leading to a bitter and fruity finish. A bit too raw.

Bottle, thanks to Dalzale. Pours clear bronze/gold - thick cream-coloured head; nose is very herbal: Mint, thyme, juniper, some light citrus, most largely herb-dominated, very floral as well. Flavours of earthy hops, nice herbal notes, soap, fleshy fruit, very spicy, great lingering bitterness. Nice!
