22 oz bottle. Pours a very hazy lazy sunshine yellow color with a quickly dissipating head. Flavors are wheat, banana, yeasty esters. Light bodied. Finish is crisp and clean, with just a hint of pepper or clove spice. Solid beer.

Generally like hefeweizens, this one started out good, nice anticipated aroma, then all the favors were there, but the presentation was so watery it was distracting.

Draught at Republic in Minneapolis. Floral, yeasty, honeyish aroma. Thin light apple juice color. Blondish, wheaty maltiness, very light hopping, and just a little banana. Thin-medium body. Hopping seems just right, not overdone, and complements the malt. Pretty decent.

Hazy straw pour with a medium soapy white head. Aroma is yeasty, clove, light banana wheat. Flavour is lemon, clove, grainy wheat. Light soapy tinge to the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Banana nose. More banana and some clove. Good orange acidity. Really nice hefe.

I haven’t had that much Steel Toe, but by the looks of their average ratings, I need to try more. This beer was an o.k. effort, though flawed. There’s a strong character to it, especially in the flavor. The initial flavor seemed big, though a hint artificial, such was the orange, bubblegum, and banana. Yeasty, yes. Yet, despite a fizziness, the experience seemed watery, too. It rang a bit hollow. O.k., but not great, esp. in the mid-palate to finish. Bottle.

Pours a very cloudy, light, pale yellow, with nothing in the way of head. Aroma is dominated by a pronounced sour banana smell. Flavor is likewise mainly banana and fruit esters. Full, solid mouthfeel. This is a very good take on a Weiss beer, maybe not as complex as some, but one I’d definitely try again.

Smell is slightly bananaey with a really strong malt smell as well. Pretty easy drinking, light, but wish it had a little more body to it. Solid, well priced, but nothing stellar.

On tap at the brewery. Very cloudy hefe which is good in my book. Refreshing take with yeast flavors and dough. Summer beer.

Cloudy visual reminiscent of other standard hefeweizens. Initial citrus followed up by light, limited mouthfeel. Disappointing end similar to old lemonade. Overall, more style than substance as it looks better than it tastes.
