22 oz bottle. Pours a very hazy lazy sunshine yellow color with a quickly dissipating head. Flavors are wheat, banana, yeasty esters. Light bodied. Finish is crisp and clean, with just a hint of pepper or clove spice. Solid beer.

The aroma is a bit stale but you get the banana and bread in there. Nice wheat profile and banana and clove and ends sweet. Pretty solid hefe!

Grayed out golden pour, hazy and laced. Lemon oil, cleaning product, clove and banana nose with a healthful dose of pleasing mineral water content. Undetailed and clean.

Soda cracker, lemon zest, spearmint flavor, cooling and soft. Low on stylistic checkpoints, higher on those herbs and general plucky tartness than the cushy banana and bread sweetness. Lightly pungent and evocative tarragon notes.

Zippy, mineral water clean texture; simple white bread flavor mid palate leading to a dry, soft finish. This example is an archetype of this brewery’s style, a key aspect of which is its attention to texture, balance and cleanness.

Hazy straw pour with a medium soapy white head. Aroma is yeasty, clove, light banana wheat. Flavour is lemon, clove, grainy wheat. Light soapy tinge to the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Banana nose. More banana and some clove. Good orange acidity. Really nice hefe.

Draft at the brewery. Slightly hazy and golden. Perfect aroma -- banana, one of the oddest resulting beer aromas ever, I need to learn the science of that. This drinks with a sweet edge, same banana, and even a little pineapple. Creamy feel. For style, quite good and quite authentic to the Bavarians. (#5654, 8/28/2014)

Generally like hefeweizens, this one started out good, nice anticipated aroma, then all the favors were there, but the presentation was so watery it was distracting.

Draught at Republic in Minneapolis. Floral, yeasty, honeyish aroma. Thin light apple juice color. Blondish, wheaty maltiness, very light hopping, and just a little banana. Thin-medium body. Hopping seems just right, not overdone, and complements the malt. Pretty decent.

Great classic Hefe. Cloudy hazy yellow. Lots of bready yeasty flavor. Nice tanginess. Subtle hops. So good.

Pint pour at Muddy Waters in Minneapolis while watching Germany demolish Brazil in the World Cup. Pours a hazy, cloudy, opaque, light orange-ish tan with a small amount of beige head. Apricot nectar-like appearance. Looks good. Scents of tart green apple, honey, minerals, and watermelon. Very strong aroma. Nice, creamy hefeweizen taste features a cinnamon element. Tart flavor. Frothy and lively in the palate. Light body. Very good palate, especially for a hefeweizen. Overall, Steel Toe Sommer Vice is an above average hefeweizen. The flavors aren’t strong but they are pleasant, and the appearance, aroma, and palate stand out.
