Sample at the Burlingame brewpub. Hazy copper-gold color with a medium white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Hazy orange body. Some citrus fruit aroma and palate. Lasting head. Relatively mild and mediocre IPA. Good but nothing to leave the beaten path for.

On tap at Steelhead Burlingame poured a clear gold with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit, lemon zest and light orange. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry moderatly bitter finish.

A hazy orange beer with a nice white head. Strong hops aroma, resinous, piney. Taste is hoppy and malty, caramel and citric notes. Medium body

On tap at the Eugene location. A thirst quenching India Pale Ale. Picked up a lot of citrus in this one. Average IPA that went down great with a burger.

Appearance: Clear golden with a medium sized white head and some lacing
Aroma: Tropical fruits
Taste: Fruity, caramel and grapefruit
Nice, crisp

A: The pour is a slightly hazy golden amber color with a white head and some nice lacing.
S: A really good citrus hop aroma to the nose to start things off. Plenty of tropical fruit notes, particularly pineapples, too. Pretty straightforward, but really nice.
T: The hop flavor is really big and juicy with a fair amount of citrus/grapefruit and lots of pineapple. There’s a bit of a caramel flavor as well as some mild breadiness that weren’t really noticeable on the nose.
M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation.
D: A surprisingly solid IPA. I really quite liked this beer and would definitely not have a problem ordering it if I find myself at Steelhead again.
