3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Steelhead Burlingame. Black pour with a dense tan head. Smells pretty roasty and has a good amount of coffee to it, actually. Slight ash and some dark chocolate. The thinness of the body is kind of disappointing, but expected. It does detract from an otherwise half-decent beer. As with the nose, lots of coffee and roasted malts. A bit of a spicy hop character and some cocoa.
